Paramount Pictures’ Tomorrow, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and directed by Sian Heder, will be released in theaters next November.
Gabriel Zevin’s bestselling novel tells the story of two friends whose lives intersect for the first time during their childhood and college years, and spans decades as the two become creative partners in the video game business of the 1990s and 2000s. The plot focuses on Sadie Green, a brilliant game designer, her collaborator Sam Masser, and Sam’s roommate and friend Marcus Watanabe, who form a video game studio called Unfair Games.
In March, Variety magazine exclusively reported that Edgar-Jones, who received critical acclaim for her roles in the TV shows “Normal People” and “Under the Banners of Heaven,” would star as Sadie in the film, following the box office hits of “Twisters” and “The Crawdads.” The casting of Sam and Markus has not yet been revealed.
Heder, who won an Oscar for “CODA,” will direct and write the screenplay from an original story by Mark Bomback and Zevin. Heder also produced the film with Temple Hill’s Wyke Godfrey, Marty Bowen and Isaac Klausner. Zevin will serve as executive producer.
Paramount has announced that this modern love story is scheduled for theatrical release on November 12, 2027.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow was published in 2022 and has sold more than 4 million copies in 40 foreign language territories around the world. Zevin’s novels have been named one of the 100 best books of the 21st century by the New York Times and one of the best fiction books of the past 30 years by the Los Angeles Times.
Zevin is represented by CAA, Doug Stewart of Sterling Lord Literistic and Bradley Garrett of Garrett Legal, PC. Mr. Heder is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content, Goodman, Genow, Shenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher, ID.
