Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey are getting married on Friday, and many are wondering what the Grammy winner will wear as she walks down Virgin Road. Will she go in the classic, romantic, American, or European direction? That’s all anyone can think about, including us at Page Six Style.
But the Kansas City Chiefs star is a fashionable figure in his own right, and his style also needs to be considered.
Grooms are often a little restricted in their wedding attire choices, but nothing is off-limits for the future Mr. Swift, and we’re betting Kelce has something very special up her sleeve.
Ahead of the couple’s extravagant celebration at Madison Square Garden, we reached out to experts who have worked with the Super Bowl winner for more than a decade to get their thoughts on what they’d choose.
Gentleman’s Playbook’s Tom Marchitelli knows the Ohio native’s boundary-pushing style, having created 25 suits for her over the past decade.
“He was one of the first to really push me[to wild looks]. He always had an eye for pushing the envelope and wearing things that got people talking, because that’s what he loves,” Marchitelli told Us last year.
And Marchitelli expects Kelce to display the same talent on his big day.
While it’s true that multiple fashion brands lined up to dress the athlete for his wedding, experts suspect Louis Vuitton will carry the honor.
“I visited Kansas City many times over the years to work with him and see his personal closet, and he always had an affinity for the brand, both in footwear and apparel,” Marchitelli said.
These days, Louis Vuitton is a favorite for Taylor and Travis, who often wear the French fashion brand on date nights. With Pharrell at the helm of the house’s menswear, there is musical star power, which is likely to appeal to the couple as well.
The producer and designer has dressed some of Hollywood’s most fashionable men, including Michael B. Jordan in a mandarin-collar suit at the 2026 Oscars and Pusha T in a sparkling double-breasted coat at the 2025 Met Gala. Bradley Cooper, who is sure to attend the wedding with his girlfriend Gigi Hadid and one of Swift’s closest friends, is also an ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
“They just do custom tailoring for special clients and events. You can’t walk into a Louis Vuitton store and have that experience like you can at Tom Ford,” Marchitelli said.
Is a seamstress also high on your list of possibilities? Tom Ford does an “incredible job,” but he noted that it’s so prevalent among A-list men that it’s likely “too much of a reach” for Kelce on her wedding day.
“Style-wise, he’ll want to give Taylor a fairytale moment at the ceremony and go in a more classic direction. I’d expect to see a double-breasted tuxedo with a bit more volume, a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie, and finish with a diamond lapel pin,” Marchitelli said.
As for color, Marchitelli knows Kelce “loves” blue, but expects him to wear classic black to the wedding.
He also wouldn’t be surprised to see the tight end wearing a top hat and tails, as he did when he made a surprise appearance on stage during Swift’s Ellas tour in London in 2024.
Also, don’t expect brides to be the only ones making multiple outfit changes on Friday night.
“Travis turned his game-day entrance into his own runway, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he changed his outfit at least once and brought something sparkling under the flashing lights at MSG for his most important arrival at the world’s most famous arena,” Marchitelli said.
Kelce has long been a fan of suits by the flashy West Coast brand Amiri, opting for a sparkling black number for the 2024 Super Bowl and a bold 70s-inspired rust-colored set for last year’s big game. But Marchitelli doesn’t expect Amiri to be part of the wedding wardrobe. “I don’t think they can make a cut on this (no kidding),” he quipped.
He doesn’t expect Thom Browne or Tommy Hilfiger (who Kells will become a brand ambassador for in September) to contribute to the look this weekend.
But suitmakers expect a certain amount of glamor.
“Metallic accents and sparkles? I can see it. Diamonds and gemstone appliqués on the collar of his jacket? It’s really visible now and I wouldn’t be offended at all,” Marchitelli said.
“If there’s one man who can accomplish that, it’s Kira Trav.”
