Now someone else is feeding Phil. “Everybody Loves Raymond” creator turned ultimate foodie Phil Rosenthal has signed a new deal with Banijay Americas that will change the platform for his “Somebody Feeds Phil” franchise. Under the new deal, “Somebody Feed Phil” will move to YouTube next year.

Banijay’s deal begins in 2027 with Rosenthal’s Lucky Busters production banner. As part of the agreement, new episodes featuring “short-form and long-form original content” will appear on the Phil Rosenthal World YouTube channel.

The deal is also inked with Banijay Entertainment’s Banijay Rights global distribution arm and promises to expand the Rosenthal brand across digital platforms, including YouTube.

“Phil Rosenthal is one of those rare creators who is always ahead of the industry,” Ben Samek, CEO of Banijay Americas, said in a statement. “Partnering with a talented filmmaker and storyteller like him is incredibly exciting for us. We’re proud to support Phil as he takes the brand into its next era, alongside Banijay Americas and Banijay Lights. YouTube represents a natural evolution and a place for viewers to join his voice and humor as we build a global digital home for the Phil Rosenthal World.”

This is actually the second time Rosenthal has switched platforms for his food travel series. Rosenthal first hosted the series “I’ll Have What Phil’s Have” on PBS in 2015. But when the public broadcaster couldn’t fund a second season, Netflix swooped in and gave him a new home. The retitled Somebody Feed Phil ran for eight seasons on Netflix from 2018 to 2025.

Season 8 of “Somebody Feeds Phil,” which is already available on Netflix, will continue to be available on Netflix. His latest season, which premiered last June, visited locations such as Amsterdam, Tbilisi, Manila and Boston.

Rosenthal recently made headlines for co-hosting the popular CBS ratings show “Everybody Loves Raymond” with series star Ray Romano as part of its reunion special. Rosenthal recently opened his own restaurant, Max & Helen’s, in Los Angeles.

“One of the things I always loved about ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ was that it was available to watch for free anywhere,” Rosenthal said in a statement. “We’re excited to announce that Somebody Feed Phil is moving to YouTube, where our message of family, friendship, food, travel, and laughter will reach a wider audience.”

Deadline broke the news.
