‘The Pit’ star Sepideh Moafi has shut down rampant rumors about his feud with co-star Noah Wyle.
“We’re really great colleagues,” the actress insisted to Variety in an interview published Wednesday.
“Noah and I have always had a great working relationship,” she added, saying on a recent episode that it made her feel “safe to do some of the darker, dirtier work.”
The 40-year-old said: “In between setups, we were laughing while filming.”
Moafi reiterated that speculation that his co-stars harbored “personal feelings or rivalries” was “completely false.”
She quipped, “At least I don’t know. You can ask Noah to confirm, but I don’t know about this.”
Wiley did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Moafi joined “The Pit” in Season 2 as Dr. Baran Al Hashimi, the new attending physician who arrives to replace Wily’s Dr. Robbie, who is about to go on sabbatical.
A recent theory claims that Dr. Al Hashimi’s storyline is related to a real-life feud between the two actors, but Moafi denied this.
“Absolutely not,” she told Variety. “I don’t have that kind of power.”
Moafi also confirmed that he will be returning for season 3 of HBO Max’s hit medical drama, but he is unsure “on what scale.”
“Do I think it’s positive?” she said with a laugh when asked about her return. “Nothing is clear about what’s going on in the story, how many episodes there will be, and everything else, but I’ll be back.”
The Emmy Award-winning drama has already seen multiple cast changes in its first two seasons.
Tracy Ifeat, who played Dr. Heather Collins, left the series after season 1, and in April, news broke that Supriya Ganesh would not be returning as Dr. Samira Mohan for season 3.
Weil, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, recently warned that more cast members could leave the series.
“It’s an inevitable thing that happens every season on this show, because as writers, we have a hard time figuring out how much time has passed and we can realistically keep most of the ensemble together,” he explained to Variety at the show’s PaleyFest event on April 12 in Los Angeles.
“There’s a high revolving door in the emergency room,” the 54-year-old actor added. “As always, when we make cast changes, we strive to keep the story fresh by introducing new characters and promoting from within.”
Season 3 of “The Pit” is scheduled to begin airing in January 2027.
