The night before Madonna’s latest album, Confessions II, hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts (her 10th No. 1 album), the Queen of Pop appeared at the Knockdown Center in Queens for a special performance.
Hours before Madonna was introduced on stage by Confessions II co-producer Stuart Price, a line stretched several blocks outside the club. Madonna greeted, “New York, I love you so much – but are you ready?!”
Similar to the Club Confession London stop, the entrance to the dance club featured a giant inflatable woman’s lower body.
Producer and DJ Honey Dijon took to the decks and began spinning songs, mostly from “Confessions II.”
Celebrities who cheered on the Grammy winner included Kim Petras, Christian Siriano, Julio Torres and drag queen Bob.
On Saturday, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka hosted the 25th Annual Midsummer Night Drinks Event to Deliver God’s Love in East Hampton.
Katie Couric, Hari Nef and Sophie Sumner attended the event, which raised over $500,000.
