I really like how cute it looks.
Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino were spotted filming the Romy and Michelle sequel in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Nearly 30 years after the original film premiered, the actresses will reprise their roles as high school best friends Michelle Weinberger and Romy White.
The Friends star, 62, wore an all-pink ensemble that included a cropped jacket, miniskirt with leggings, charm belt and matching shades.
Kudrow’s bright blonde hair was slicked back to her shoulders, she carried a purple bag and accessorized with white sneakers.
Meanwhile, Sorvino, 58, wore a purple trench coat dress adorned with a silver rhinestone belt, purple sunglasses and a matching pink purse.
The “DWTS” alum wore her blonde hair in flowing curls and wore sneakers.
Also on set was Alan Cumming, who plays Sandy Fink, a nerdy high school student turned millionaire.
In the photo, the “Traitors” host, 61, was wearing a purple striped suit.
Two of the newest members of the cast, Keegan-Michael Key and Rob Huebel, also joined the trio for filming on location.
According to TMZ, Romy and Michelle’s Jaguar from the first film will also appear in the sequel.
In addition to Kudrow, Sorvino, and Cumming, Janine Garofalo returns as outcast Heather Mooney, Camryn Manheim returns as teacher’s pet Toby Walters, and Julia Campbell reprises her role as popular girl Christy Masters.
Newcomers Breckin Meyer, Patrick Warburton, and Nathan Lee Graham will be joining the Hulu sequel, but details of their roles remain secret.
20th Century Studios first confirmed that a second film was in the works earlier this month, when they shared a snap on Instagram of Kudrow and Sorvino sitting in director’s chairs on set.
The words “Romy and Michele 2” are written on the chairs.
“A long-awaited reunion!” the caption read. “A sequel to Romy and Michel is currently in production.”
The comedy’s original writer Robin Schiff will write the second project.
Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion was released in theaters in 1997 and follows Romy and Michelle as they travel to Arizona to attend their 10-year high school reunion.
Prior to the expedition, the best friends made a pact to pretend they were successful to all their former classmates.
In 2024, Sorvino revealed that he was working on a sequel.
“Almost all of the important characters from the original are coming back,” she told People at the time.
The “Mighty Aphrodite” star reflected on the film’s lasting impact on pop culture, revealing on her “Work in Progress” podcast in March that she and Schiff received a “five-minute standing ovation” from fans at a recent screening.
“I’m always amazed at how much this movie means in people’s lives,” she exclaimed.
