Jessie J is cancer-free, one year after revealing her breast cancer diagnosis.
The singer shared a major update on her Instagram Reels on Thursday, captioning it, “‼️The results are in and I’m cancer-free‼️😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.”
“I sobbed for hours and breathed for the first time in a year,” the “Price Tag” hitmaker told her followers.
In a social media upload, Jesy documented her annual medical exam during which she was “actually pissed.”
“I have to go get an MRI,” the Grammy nominee, 38, said, showing off the IV in her arm. “Just pretend I’m not claustrophobic.”
After explaining that the chest MRI required her to lie face down and hold her arms “high like Superman,” Jesse said, “I’m so glad[it’s okay]it’s okay.”
“Positive vibes,” she concluded, launching into Bob Marley’s “Don’t Worry About a Thing.”
Jesy’s A-list friends celebrated the positive update in the comments section, with Rita Ora writing: “What a blessing. 🥹 ❤️.”
Joss Stone described Jesse as “an inspiration” and “so strong”, while Lauren Jauregui commented, “Yay!! Congratulations!!”
In June 2025, Jessie shared her breast cancer diagnosis on social media and underwent a mastectomy.
“Cancer is the worst in any form, but I’m sticking by the word ‘early’,” she said in an Instagram video at the time, adding that she decided to publicly share her diagnosis because of the unwavering support from her fans.
“You have loved me through all my good times and hard times,” Jesse said. “And I don’t want this to be any different.”
In August, Jessie, who welcomed son Skye (now 3 years old) with boyfriend Chanan Coleman in 2023, gave an update after her surgery.
“I’m still recovering and my body is still finding its way,” she wrote on social media. “But I love music, I love my life, and I want to live in the moment.”
At the time, she was focused on “just flowing through life” and “learning about myself as a mother” even when she “unexpectedly suffered a health crisis.”
Meanwhile, Jesse suffered another health scare in March during his “No Secret” tour and underwent an emergency MRI scan in Hangzhou, China.
Despite it being believed that he had hit his head on the roof of a car and broken his neck, the performer was declared safe by doctors.
