Absolute Hank spoke.
Jason Lewis has given a heated look at the relationship between Sex and the City star Smith Jerrod and Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones, years after the actress appeared to take sides in his feud with Sarah Jessica Parker.
In a promotional Instagram video for Owl’s Brew, the author made several references to the on-screen couple’s romance.
At one point, a woman who bears a striking resemblance to Cattrall walks past Lewis, and he teases that he still has his type.
One fan commented under Reel on Monday: “That call from Samantha was absolutely awesome!! He knows his ground.”
Lewis responded, “Without her, Smith was nothing.”
The clip begins with the actor getting out of a New York City cab and asking the camera, “Did you miss me?”
Elsewhere in the video, Lewis references his character’s nickname, “The Hank,” and is offered sushi for lunch. This is a nod to the scene in the 2008 film where Samantha is covered in sushi as she waits for Smith to return.
Another follower gushed in the comments: “In an alternate reality Smith and Samantha they were Endgame in my book.”

Lewis, who has been living in Costa Rica and writing for fantasy series for the past three years, starred as an aspiring actor and male model in the cult classic series.
His character fell in love with Samantha, who convinced him to change his name from Jerry Jerrod to Smith.
Samantha skyrocketed Smith’s career, using her connections to land him major modeling jobs. This campaign then led to him appearing in major films.
What started as a fling turned into a serious romance, with Smith even supporting Samantha as she battled breast cancer in season six of the series.
The series ended in 2004, with the two still together.
However, in the 2008 film Sex and the City, the characters split up after Samantha moved to Los Angeles.
In the 2010 sequel, Smith returns as a friend to accompany Samantha to a movie premiere.
Despite loving their on-screen romance, Lewis infamously clashed with Cattrall during the series, which ran from 1998 to 2004, with the model replacing Parker in 2018.
“I have to say Sarah was always so nice and a consummate professional,” he said in an interview with KTLA at the time. “I think people should remember their kindness and what they were given.”
Mr. Lewis added that he would “stop here” because “nothing good will come of it.”
The newscaster then commented that the star seemed to be on “Team Sara.”
Lewis agreed, saying, “I guess I should say that. What a kind woman. She has always been very good to me.”
Rumors of a feud between Parker and Cattrall surfaced after Cattrall’s older brother was found dead after going missing in 2018.
At the time, the “Hocus Pocus” star expressed his condolences via Instagram.
“I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker,” Cattrall poignantly responded.
“Let me make this clear (if I haven’t said it already),” she continued. “You are not my family. You are not my friend. That’s why I write this letter to you one last time to tell you to stop exploiting our tragedy to restore your ‘good boy’ persona.”
In 2022, Parker called the rift with Cattrall “very painful.”
She claimed their problems first began in 2017 when the “Mannequin” star made certain demands before signing on to star in the third installment of the series.
“They didn’t make the movie because they didn’t want to do it without Kim because they didn’t feel comfortable meeting her where they wanted to meet her,” Parker claimed on THR’s “Awards Chatter” podcast at the time.
Meanwhile, Cattrall claimed she turned down the film because of the advertising photo storyline between Samantha and Miranda’s teenage son Brady.
The series then continued with a sequel series in 2021, but the actress was not asked to appear in “And Just Like That…” again. Starring Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, it aired until 2025.
“We didn’t ask her to be part of this because she made it clear that it wasn’t something she wanted to pursue and that it wasn’t comfortable for us anymore. So it never occurred to us,” Parker said.
