“Euphoria” is once again facing backlash after Sidney Sweeney goes topless in the season’s most explicit scene.
In Sunday night’s episode, Sweeney’s character Cassie Howard wore a low-cut polka-dot bodysuit while jumping rope for her OnlyFans subscribers. The video also showed her using pleasure devices on herself, mailing used underwear to subscribers and sucking her own toes.
Sweeney’s Kathy finally reached her breaking point when an OnlyFans subscriber asked her to “fart in a bottle” for $700.
X users shared their thoughts on the latest episode.
One user wrote: “Sidney Sweeney, they can’t pay you enough for this. Money can’t be that good.”
Another added: “Does Sidney Sweeney really like being nude this much? I wouldn’t go to the police if a woman enjoyed this but wow, #euphoria.”
Many people called the episode “over the top” and complained of “euphoria.”
One user wrote: “#euphoria has gone too far, dammit.” Another added: “Kathy’s hypersexuality is ruining happiness for me.”
After her meteoric rise to fame thanks to her career on OnlyFans, Cassie also embarked on a press tour. In one clip, Kathy appears as a guest on Trisha Paytas’ online show, where she shares her views on modern political discourse.
“If a modern man says he wants a girlfriend who can cook and clean, he might as well be shouting the N-word,” Kathy tells Paytas.
A voice off-camera can be heard saying, “You look like a Democrat.” Kathy laughed and replied with a dismissive slur, “I’m not that person-“
In another video, Kathy added, “I feel like American men are being treated like second-class citizens.”
“In the past, men were hunters, gatherers, and protectors. Now they have to walk around on tiptoe. That’s not natural,” she continues.
Fox News Digital has reached out to HBO for comment.
Later in the episode, Maddie Perez, played by Alexa Demme, says to Cassie, “You know what’s funny? The angrier these idiots get, the more money they make.”
Some social media users speculated that Sweeney was “not acting” in this episode, and that her personal political beliefs were being reflected on screen.
Over the past few years, Sweeney has been at the center of political controversies, including the American Eagle movement and his mother’s MAGA-themed birthday party.
“Sidney Sweeney has enraged the left again,” one user wrote on X.
Another user commented on Instagram, “This is a time when actors aren’t acting anymore.” A third added: “Honestly, is Sidney Sweeney acting at this point??”
Others objected, pointing out that Sweeney was portraying a fictional character and her lines should not be confused with her real-life views.
“So are we now offended by a fictional character’s political views?” one user wrote. “Libs will be mad about fake TV show characters,” another added.
