A film in which Courteney Cox and Johnny McDade go their separate ways.
The former flames have reportedly called it quits after more than a decade together, according to the Daily Mail.
The paper said Cox, 62, and McDade, 49, amicably separated late last year. Friends of the couple said the breakup wasn’t “ugly” but that they were living “separate lives”.
A friend told the Daily Mail: “Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courtney. They have a very deep relationship and remain very friendly. They are great friends and care very much about each other.”
Page Six has reached out to representatives for comment on Cox and McDade.
The Snow Patrol musician and the Friends star first met in 2013 at a house party hosted by the latter.
“I remember looking at Johnny and thinking, ‘Oh, wow. He’s really intense.’ He’s got eyes and he can play the piano,” Cox said.
“And I thought, ‘Oh, he’s really, really handsome,'” Cox said on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2022.
By 2014, the Northern Irish singer popped the question to the “Cougar Town” alum.
“I’m engaged to him!” Cox tweeted at the time under a selfie.
A few months later, in 2015, McDade told People, “I just want to be with this woman for the rest of my life. That’s all that matters. The ceremony is academic.”
However, by December 2015, Page Six confirmed that the lovebirds had called off their engagement.
“They’ve had issues for a long time,” a source told People magazine at the time.
Cox and McDade eventually reconciled in 2016, but the actress explained that her second relationship felt “different.”
“We were engaged for over a year and then we broke up,” Cox said on “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” that year.
“He’s from Ireland. And his idea of love is priceless. We have to treat it differently. It’s more special, you sweeten it,” she expressed.
Cox added that she didn’t know how to “value love” the way her partner did.
“I definitely made a lot of mistakes, whether it was codependency or people-pleasing. I didn’t know how to take that in. It was always on the outside,” she confessed.
“Everything is new,” she exclaimed. “And we’ve both really worked on the areas that need the most attention. And it feels really different.”
During their relationship, Cox admitted that she wanted to have a baby with McDade, telling NewBeauty in 2017, “I can carry other people’s eggs. I might be one of the older guys doing it, but I would love to do it with Johnny.”
Cox was previously married to David Arquette from 1999 to 2013, and the couple have a 22-year-old daughter, Coco.
The Scream actor, 54, met his second wife, Christina McLarty, 45, in 2011.
The couple married in 2015 and have sons Charlie, 12, and Augustus, nine.
