Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for Part 1 of the Season 10 “Summer House” Reunion, streaming on Peacock as of May 27.
What a week for New Yorkers.
On Monday night, the New York Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years. And on Tuesday, during the first part of the “Summer House” Season 10 reunion, Lindsay Hubbard called Westling Wilson “a toddler.”
In the immortal words of Stefon, “This place has it all.”
In case you haven’t been keeping track of all the “Summer House” drama, and I’ll go into exact details here, on March 31, two of the cast members of the Hamptons-set series, Westling Wilson and Amanda Batula, publicly announced on Instagram that they were in a situation. The confirmation came after weeks of speculative gossip about them on sites like Deuxmoi, including alleged footage of them in a compromising position. This news is notable for the Bravoverse, as Amanda and her husband of four years, Kyle Cook, announced their separation in January. Ciara Miller, Amanda’s best friend, previously dated West and still has feelings for him. Ciara spent the entire 10th season of the show as Amanda’s shoulder to cry on while her marriage fell apart. And West aggressively pursued Ciara all summer, even kissing her during the season finale. Additionally, a series of audio leaks from the Summer House reunion showed West and Amanda appearing defiant and unapologetic in the face of criticism.
The “Summer House” Season 10 reunion episode (the first of a three-part series) launched Tuesday night on Bravo (and will be streaming uncensored on Peacock starting Wednesday). Opening on March 31st, Lindsay is sitting on a couch recording a confessional interview for the “Summer House” spinoff “In the City.” Kyle comes in and tells them to check their phones and flags the aforementioned situation report. A conference call begins between Jesse Solomon, Mia Calabrese, and the screwed-up Carl Radke.
“Amanda tried to pass it off last night like it just happened in a month,” Kyle says of his estranged wife and West. “Damn. At least they were together the second week of January,” Mia says. “And I say,” Kyle added. “Blinds are retroactive to June 2025.”
As if in a psychological thriller, orchestral music gallops and swells in the background as the action quickly moves forward to April 23, the day of the reunion recording.
“We’ve been doing this for 10 years since the beginning,” Karl says, but he’s still confused. “What’s been happening over the last month and a half, two months is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.”
KJ Dillard points out that West and Amanda’s public appearance at a Yankees game happened to be the same day Ciara appeared on the cover of Glamor magazine, and originally appeared on the cover of Kansas City Royals (KJ and KJ was scheduled to go to the match with West (West’s hometown club), but he pointed out that he didn’t go because “we’re not friends anymore” and “that hurt…I thought of him like a brother.”
We were treated to a heartfelt backstage exchange between Reunion host Andy Cohen and Ciara. “Who do you feel betrayed by?” he asks her. “Amanda,” Ciara replies. “I mean, I’m shocked by West, but I’m also really hurt by Amanda.” Then there’s a hard (soft?) transition in which the guys backstage joke about pictures of West’s penis that have unfortunately started circulating. “That’s not a good dick picture!” Kyle exclaims. “Who’s going to relax?” Jesse chimes. And finally, Andy visits Amanda and West, who are sharing a dressing room. When asked what she thought would happen at the reunion, Amanda took the stage and answered, “The truth is already out there. We’ll just shut down the rumors.” Of meeting Ciara, Amanda claims: “I mean, I feel so guilty. That’s my friend and it’s just shocking to think that I was the one who caused her pain.” That’s an unconvincing accusation, to say the least. And the first of many.
The ladies of “Summer House” appeared on the set in great shape. For men, it’s much less common. As Ciara parades around in a tight corset, in a moment that’s easy to miss but is made abundantly clear, West can be seen pursing his lips as he stares at her. Fireworks will start soon.
“I’m going to admit what I did, take responsibility, and especially apologize to Ciara and Kyle. And I hope I can explain to their faces what happened and where I’m coming from,” Amanda says.
“We’re glad you called us by our names this time,” Ciara retorted, a nod to the fact that she and Kyle were conspicuously left out of Amanda and West’s relationship announcement.
Ciara first suspected something was going on between Amanda and West when she invited Amanda and Mia out for drinks on January 17, but she didn’t answer her phone calls. So she checks Amanda’s location and finds that she is in West’s apartment.
“West has been hosting me all summer and checking in on me…” Amanda murmurs.
“So where was I?” Ciara presses. “And how many times have I asked you to hang out and you just blew me off…” – at which point Amanda tries to talk to her and Ciara tells her to “shut up” and continues. “How many times have I invited you to hang out, or asked you to come over to my house, or invited you to do something, and you still pretend like your phone isn’t working?!”

The focus shifts to West, who has remained silent until then, and the extent to which he deceived his friends about his budding relationship with Amanda.
“I lied 100% to everyone here, and I take responsibility for that. It’s not cool to say that in general, it’s not cool to do to your friends, and it’s not okay to lie to someone you care about in any case,” he says.
Cue Ciara: “The problem is you feel like you’re lying about your life. You’re lying about who you are. I think you’re the biggest fraud sitting on this couch. We’ve been here three years and I don’t think anyone really, really knows who you are. You live a shitty life off camera than you do on camera. We don’t know what you’re doing.”
And the kicker said, “Maybe the reason it was so confusing is because you had a girlfriend! Maya (Moreno).”
Yes, West apparently had a girlfriend when they started dating Amanda, but West’s denials prompted Lindsay to point out that Major said they were “exclusive” and that “she spent the night with you the night before she appeared on What Happens Live!.” March 24th,” or one week before West and Amanda’s infamous IG post.
“That’s true,” West admits. “She brought me that (horsehair) tie.” (Westling made a point on the show of wearing horsehair ties for prospective lovers.)
And Amanda, who has been staring into the abyss throughout this interaction, is brought back to reality by Mia who asks her, “You went from married to West’s side bitch? That’s crazy.” I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Mia needs to be a permanent addition to the cast of “Summer House.” It’s just fun.

I was living alone, separated from my ex, and trying to prioritize myself!” “Sometimes you can’t control who you like or are attracted to.” “Oh, I’m sorry, but if you break up with someone, do you have to stay single and celibate for the rest of your life until a judge signs the papers?” “So you’re saying you’re not allowed to pursue anything you feel strongly about? Has anyone in this world ever been in a situation like this before?” “This isn’t the craziest thing that’s ever happened in the entire world! You guys are acting like I cheated on you!”
oh yeah. I think Amanda gets too much public flak for her reckless actions, but the way she plays the victim throughout part 1 of the reunion doesn’t do her any favors. You wouldn’t believe for a second that she thinks she has gone too far in any way, or that she even cares about the toll this has taken on one of her closest friends.
Ciara has a scathing response to Amanda’s “single” line:
“Nobody said you had to stay single, but there’s a million other fuckers in New York City and you chose that one guy – and you know how much that fucked me up – you chose that one guy, and you You did it on purpose because you’re a fucking snake, that’s what you are. You’re a fucking snake in the grass, and you should be honest, because you are. I know you’re being silent, but you’re deadly.” (The “snake in the grass” part is a little over-rehearsed, but it’s worth it.)
We also see Ciara dictating a series of texts sent by Amanda, lying about her relationship with West and saying they are just friends. And Kyle, who has remained mostly silent, wonders why Amanda has started turning off her cell phone’s location for the first time in years. According to West and Amanda, their first kiss was “after brunch at the end of February,” and their first time sleeping together was after they made their statement.

After enjoying West and Amanda’s lovemaking for about 30 minutes, Andy moves the conversation to another topic. For example, when Mia opens up about losing her mother — “I’m just trying to live for my mom and dad, and doing everything I know they want me to do” — KJ candidly details his struggles with mental health. “I was there for a week. Mia and Ciara were there almost every day and then I started recovering and that solidified me. I was there for a few months…but I’m better now. I’m in treatment and on medication. I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder while in the hospital. I’m grateful to be alive and here, because I couldn’t have been here.” (Mia and KJ were supporting characters in this season of “Summer House,” but the way their traumatic story is glossed over doesn’t feel right.)
It also shows Bailey Taylor cooking a spur-of-the-moment meal and chastising Ben for joking about wanting to sleep with Amanda. “You like to scold women. That was your problem,” she tells him. “I don’t like the way you talk to Sabrina, and I don’t like the way you talk to me, and I think you’re full of shit.” Preach.
The memorable moment from Part 1 of the reunion will be different for everyone, but for me it came from the incomparable Lindsay Hubbard. Wearing an eye-catching red dress, she calmly accepts West’s bullshit explanation for why he invited Ciara to a kissing sleepover in the fall (!) that would break her heart months later.
“West, you’re so good. I’m drawn into you right now, and I can catch myself. You’re so good,” she says. “You’re so good at pulling girls. You do whatever it takes to climb the ladder, you chase influence to get where you want to go, and then boom – they don’t serve you, they don’t give you what they’re supposed to offer, and you drop them. When this doesn’t work, you’re going to do the same thing to Amanda, because it won’t work and you won’t be able to deal with it, West, you’re shit,” toddler. ”
Bravo, Lindsay. You are the main reason I watch In the City, and I will continue to watch if I have the chance to witness moments like this. As for the ‘Summer House’ season 10 reunion, I can’t believe there are two more parts left. After the first drink, I’ll be in desperate need of a drink (or three).
