Chelsea Handler and her “cowboy” boyfriend are over.
Two months after the comedian’s partner was identified as construction executive Joe Ragula, Handler told listeners of the Let’s Be Honest podcast that he was done with the job.
“The last guy I dated, I met him at a blackjack table in Las Vegas,” said the Daytime Emmy Award winner, 51. “It was a really fun adventure.”
She said they had “a wonderful five or six months together.”
The former “Chelsea” host did not elaborate on how the romance ended.
Handler went public with their relationship in March on social media while documenting a trip to Türkiye.
She included a photo of Lalgra in her beloved post and spoke to the Las Vegas Review-Journal about how they connected.
“I had to ask this guy in a cowboy hat sitting at the blackjack table, and he had a bunch of thousands of dollars in chips. I was like, ‘Hey, buddy, can I borrow $1,000? I’m going to start winning right away,'” she recalled at Nevada Meet Cute in November 2025.
“And he was like, ‘Yes, absolutely!’ So he gave me $1,000,” Handler recalled. “I gave him another $1,000 back just for interest, but I ended up taking it back at the end of the night because I said, ‘I don’t think he’s worth it.'”
The next morning, he texted me, gushing, “I had so much fun with you last night.”
She revealed, “He’s not a real cowboy, but I call him a cowboy. …He’s my current cowboy.”
Their whirlwind romance continued when he sent Handler a “link to a trip to Antarctica” and Lalgula bought a ticket and met there.
“I’m still good friends with this guy,” Handler clarified at the time, “even though he’s not a real cowboy,[she]calls him one.” “It’s hot and women like me need big moves like that.”
Prior to Ragula, Handler was dating someone in 2025, but his identity was not revealed.
“I’ve known him for years,” she said of the mystery man on “Call Her Daddy” last year. “I’ve always been attracted to him, but he just wasn’t available. I always wanted someone like him in my life.”
She remained tight-lipped Tuesday about her former A-list lover, but criticized Bobby Flay for taking her on “cheap” dates.
