Jaclyn Smith proves that age is just a number.
The Charlie’s Angels legend spoke about her youthful glow as she turned 80 and said love is more important than makeup.
Smith wowed on the red carpet at the Paley Honors Spring Gala in New York City, reuniting with former co-star Kate Jackson to celebrate the iconic series’ 50th anniversary.
When Fox News Digital asked the television icon what the beauty secret behind her flawless appearance was, she answered, “Living clean and being loved.”
“I have the best family in the world to grow up with: an amazing husband, two beautiful children, three granddaughters. So, nothing could be better than that. It’s all about love and everything is family to me.”
The actress, who played Kelly Garrett from 1976 until the series ended in 1981, wowed on the red carpet at the event at Manhattan’s Plaza Hotel.
She shared a photo of herself with Jackson at the Paley Honors Gala in New York and looked back on the iconic TV series nearly 50 years after its debut.
“Hello from the Paley Honors Gala in New York! So happy to be celebrating with my friends from the Paley Center again,” Smith wrote on Instagram.
“Kate and I were very fortunate to continue to attend and embrace the 50th anniversary of the series on behalf of the Charlie’s Angels family. These words of gratitude do not include the fact that I continue to feel part of that legacy.”
Fans immediately flooded the comments section with praise for the longtime actress and her timeless look.
“Happy 50th anniversary. You are amazing and you are a part of my life growing up. I looked up to you with great admiration and as a role model. Thank you for the memories. Good Life Angel,” one fan wrote.
Another added: “You look amazing,” “You’re still a beautiful woman,” and “You and Kate are both beautiful.”
Another user commented, “Classic beauty,” while a fan commented, “Wow, you both don’t look like you’re getting old.”
“Jaclyn Smith, a true iconic woman. Stylish and classy. Timeless and we fans can’t wait to see you living your best life. Thank you,” another shared.
Smith said she had no idea that “Charlie’s Angels” would change pop culture forever until she became one of television’s most famous stars.
When asked by Fox News Digital if she was aware at the time that she was becoming a style icon, Smith said, “I didn’t have that when I was starting out.”
“But I think we paved the way to look at glamor and women in a different way. We kind of paved the way for new roles for women.”
“Charlie’s Angels” became an instant sensation after its 1976 premiere, turning Smith, Jackson and Farrah Fawcett into global stars almost overnight.
Fawcett famously left after the first season, while Jackson left after the third season, making Smith the only original Angel to remain for all five seasons.
The Paley Honors Spring Gala celebrates the cultural legacy of the hit crime drama, which Jackson said is still broadcast around the world 50 years after its debut.
Jackson admitted he’s shocked by the show’s staying power.
“Oh, that’s great,” Jackson said. “So 50 years from now, 50 years after our debut, we’re still here and it’s still on TV all over the world and it’s never gone away. That’s really amazing.”
But these days, Jackson has traded the chaos of Hollywood for a life on a farm in Virginia, and he has no regrets.
“I’d rather be on the farm than be on the red carpet any day of the week,” Jackson joked.
The actress said that living away from the Hollywood spotlight brings a kind of peace that she never had in the entertainment industry.
“I like that there’s no pressure. It’s really great. I have animals, I have friends… and it’s a great way of life,” she said. “It’s so much better than this… which can be a little overwhelming.”
Meanwhile, Smith’s own Hollywood journey spans more than 50 years.
She began her career as a model in the early 1970s, guest-starring on shows such as MacLeod, The Switch and The Rookies, and then shot to superstardom on Charlie’s Angels.
She later won critical acclaim and a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the television movie Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.
Smith was married four times outside of the screen, eventually finding lasting love with surgeon Brad Allen, whom she met while her father was receiving treatment at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and whom she married in 1997.
