Filmmaker Cameron Crowe began interviewing the touring musicians at Rolling Stone. Crow will assume the headliner role in seven cities to appear behind his new memoir, “The Uncool,” featuring guests taking part in a conversation with the journalist-turned director.

The first show will take place on October 29th, the day after the book is won at the store. That day, JakTapper will be Crow’s guest in the evening at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC. The next night, on October 30th, in Nashville at CMA Theatre, the Crows count crows, as they say, as they are, as they are, in the Crows. Another guest is Kate Hudson, one of the stars of his film “Almost Famous,” and will appear on November 13th in Magnolia in San Diego’s Greater San Diego area.

On the evenings where guests have not yet been announced, it’s at Chicago’s Athenaeum Center on November 1st. Benaroya Hall, Seattle, November 19th. Montalvan in Hollywood, 2 nights, November 20th-21st. Orphaum in San Francisco for the final night of the tour on November 23rd.

“I’ve always loved telling the story behind stories,” Crowe said in a statement. “It has always been a passion to showcase friends and loved ones to the unforgettable characters and adventures that influenced my journalism and film. Now coincident with the 25th anniversary of “almost famous” and the release of “Uncool,” I can’t wait to share their intimate stories and evenings with the audience who have followed my work over the years.

Live Nation promotes tours. The first pre-sale, designated as “A Cameron Crowe Presale,” begins on Thursday at 10am local time, followed by additional pre-sale. The general on sale starts this Friday at 10am via Livenation.com.

“The Uncool” is the first of two books that reflect on Crowe’s beginnings as a music journalist. He explained the split in a statement to the Associated Press. “I spent the last decade or so, revisiting early subjects like (David) Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin,” he said. “Their actions of reflecting on their younger selves have brought me the same thing. The book is divided into two parts. The first is a personal memoir. The second has many new interview materials next year.”

Cameron Crow Tour Dates:

October 30th | Nashville, Tennessee | CMA Theater
November 1st | Chicago, Illinois | Athenaeum Center
November 13th | San Diego (El Cajon), CA | Magnolia
November 19th | Seattle, Washington | Benaroya Hall
