Jai Courtney is the addition to the “Yellowstone” spinoff focusing on Beth and RIP. I’m learning variety exclusively.
In this series, currently entitled “The Dutton Ranch,” Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser recreate their roles from the Mothership Show, with Finn making Little in the role of Carter. As previously announced, Annette Behning and Ed Harris will also appear on the show.
The series’ official logline states, “Beth Dutton (Riley) and Lip Wheeler (Hauser) are grateful for the peace they sought and fought, and are almost dying at the 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch.
Courtney plays Rob Will, who is described as “impressive and unpredictable farm foreman.”
Courtney is probably best known for his film roles. This includes both the Suicide Squad movies as well as the “Genisys of the Terminator”, the “Divergent” franchise, The Water Diviner, Unbroken” and “Buffaloed.” On TV, Courtney’s recent credits include “American Primeval,” “The Terminal List,” “Kale Idoscope,” and “Stateless.”
He is represented by UTA, Morrisey Management, and perspectives.
Chad Feehan will be the showrunner and executive producer of “The Dutton Ranch.” The executive of “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan will be produced alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hatkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Christina Boros, Riley, Hauser and Keith Cox. Boros will also be directed. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
