Waithe was married to Alana Mayo, a film executive and president of Orion Pictures. Waithe revealed that they got married in November 2019, but according to People, the couple split just two months later.
“After careful consideration and consideration, we decided to say goodbye,” they said in a statement to the outlet. “We ask that we support each other and respect our privacy during this time.”
