Fans of “Friends” can get Joe, inspired by their favorite sitcoms.
After some pop-ups, Central Park opens its first permanent location in Times Square in New York. The coffee shop is a “modern version” of the cozy hangouts of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe.
Released in the fall of 2025, the cafe promises artisan coffee drinks and “friends” inspired foods led by “Top Chef” judge and James Beard Award winner Tom Colithio. Central Park offers replica orange sofas, products and take home coffee blends. (See the coffee shop rendering below.)
The Times Square location on the northeast corner of 7th and 47th Avenues is Central Park’s second permanent front-post base, which opened in Boston in 2023.
“Central Park is one of the most iconic landmarks in television history. After an incredible reaction in Boston, bringing Central Park to Times Square, it’s not the next step, it’s homecoming. “This is to provide an experience in the heart of Manhattan, where the story began, and fans from all over the world step into a nostalgic yet newly rethinked space. There’s no place for Connection fans to continue to feel in Central Park, celebrating the legacy of “friends” than New York City. ”
Paul Landino, company executive at Cenper Holdings, added: “Boston shows its appetite for Central Parka. New York builds that excitement on even bigger scale. Fans are directly telling what they love, what they wanted, more.
