Noah Weil won the Emmy Award for Best Actor in the drama series “The Pitt.”

He won fellow nominees Sterling K. Brown (“Paradise), Gary Oldman (“Slow Horses”), Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”) and Adam Scott (“Retirement”) in categories.

This was Weil’s sixth acting Emmy nomination and his seventh overall nomination, and he also shares it with “Pitt”‘s nomination for Best Drama Series. This was also his first victory. He has been nominated for the fifth consecutive year as the best supporting actor in drama for his role as Dr. John Carter in the hit medical drama “ER”.

“First of all, for my fellow candidates, simply including my name in your company is a lifelong honor,” Weil said in his acceptance speech. “Thank you to everyone at HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television for the conditions that Lightning has had in my life that will attack twice. Thank you, John Wells, for that lightning.”

“And most importantly, if someone shifts tonight or leaves their shift tonight, thank you for taking the job. This is for you,” he concluded.

“The Pitt” debuted on HBO Max in January and received critical and popular acclaim. The show was renewed for a second season in February, with a new season scheduled to resign in January 2026. In addition to the nods to Weil and Best Drama Series, the show received a total of 13 Emmy nominations this year. The Emmy Awards for Creative Arts awarded the award the weekend before Primetime Emmy on Sunday, with “Pitt” winning the best guest actor victory in the drama series (Shawn Hatsey) and the best casting in the drama series (Kathy Sandrich Gelfond and Ericagar). Katherine Ranatha, who is the nurse Dana on the show, won Emmy for her best supporting actor in the drama.
