As Ike Barinholtz prepares to portray Elon Musk in the upcoming feature “artificial,” he said he has no intention of reaching out to the billionaire and former Donald Trump allies in preparation.
“I’m fine,” Ballinholtz told Variety’s Mark Malkin on the Emmy’s red carpet. “He’s so famous that you get it.”
When asked if he was nervous about portraying public figures on a controversial platform, he jokingly said, “If he puts me in gulag, that means he’s with all my friends, and we can party.”
At the helm of Luca Guadagnino, and upcoming films will star Andrew Garfield and Yura Borisov. It is said to be a “comedy drama set in the world of artificial intelligence.”
Barinholtz also revealed his excitement that he is working with Guadagnino on the project. “Luca Guadanino is a real genius and brings things from people,” he said. “The fear I was in it was instantly relieved by the genius.”
Although details of the plot are kept under the wrap, previous reports suggest that “artificial” will be central to “artificial” during the turbulent period of 2023, when CEO Sam Altman was fired and rehired in a few days.
Garfield is reportedly portraying Altman, but Borisov reportedly plays Iya Staskyber, co-founder of Open. Other stars who joined the cast include Monica Barbaro, Jason Schwartzmann, Cooper Hoffmann and Cooper Koch.
Simon Rich writes the script and produces it alongside David Heyman, Jeffrey Clifford and Jennifer Fox from his heyday films. This movie comes from Amazon MGM.
Barinholtz was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role as Sal Saperstein in “The Studio.” Apple TV+ comedy shattered Emmy Records after receiving 23 nominations. He also linked last year’s “Bear” records set as the most nominated comedy series to date.
