Robert Cosby Jr., the son of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” star Mary Cosby, was arrested for three counts of breaching a court order for criminal trespassing, assaulting and failing to halt law enforcement command.
According to TMZ, an arrest was made just outside Salt Lake City on Saturday after local police responded to reports of domestic violence.
Police alleged that Robert Jr. tried to break into his stepfather’s house through the dog door of the property. He is also allegedly raided someone on the grass in front of him.
After police arrived at the scene, respondents ordered Robert Jr. to get to the ground. He was later taken into custody following the officer’s orders.
Representatives from Cosby, Bravo and Salt Lake City Police Department did not immediately respond to a six-page request for comment.
According to the outlet, this is Robert Jr.’s latest break-in with police following the 2022 DUI arrest.
In his 2022 arrest, police violated the traffic law, claiming that the real star operated the vehicle without a license. However, other charges were dropped after he pleaded guilty to the DUI charges.
The 21-year-old finds himself in trouble with the law once again after being told he had not proven that he had finished his court-ordered rehabilitation stay.
Robert Jr. discussed his issues regarding drug and alcoholism in an emotional episode of the Bravo Reality series, which aired in November 2024.
In the episode, he confessed that he began taking drugs when he was “just 16.”
“In the beginning I was going to stick to something natural. And then I went to the party and someone gave me Xanax, and then I was like, ‘Oh, I like this,’ so I started buying it,” he recalled.
“Then I started Xanax with Xanax and then Molly with Xanax because I like Xanax.
He went on to share that he reached a ‘turning point’ while taking “10 milligrams of OxyContin tablets at a time). I couldn’t even feel it.
Robert Jr. went to rehabilitation due to his addiction issues and, according to his mother, became a “new person” thanks to his treatment.
“Rob is doing very good,” she said, providing tearfully with updates on the December 2024 episode of Watch What What Happes Live.
