Austin Film Festival has announced its second wave, scheduled to premiere at this year’s festival lineup. The festival will be held from October 23rd to October 30th.

The newly added Texas premiere includes Noah Banbach’s “Jay Kelly,” starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler, Noah Banbach’s “Jay Kelly,” the US premiere of “saclicios,” Noah Banbach’s “Jay Kelly,” and Noah Banbach’s “Jay Kelly,” and Chloe Zao’s “Hamnet,” starring Jesse Buckley and Paul Mezcal.

The festival is also a true story about “Sold Out,” a drama about Nick and Josh Holden’s struggling novelist, a true story about four friends, and a crime drama centered around a recovering gambler.

“Senior Plank” comedy film set in Chubi along with Noah Toss, Anna Benej, Grey Fagan and Ronnie Martz

“Senior Plank,” an influencer-led comedy film about graduation stunts getting wrong, premiering on Tubi on September 14th.

The film stars Noah Toss (“It’s the End”), Anna Benej (“Hack”), and Tiktok’s comedian Gray Fagan and Ronnie Martz. They were joined by an ensemble that included Grace Writer, Joe Crest, Cameron Cowperthwaite, Jack Martin, Carrington, Chase Keith, Missy Sanderson and Misha Satta.

The producers call “Senior Plank” a “Digital Generation high school comedy,” and they lend a bank to a cast of 26 million Tiktok followers to promote involvement in the film.

Temple of Art to provide free seating on holy holy days
Temple of the Arts offers free seating for guild members at the High Holy Days service in Hollywood, California, from September 13th to October 2nd.

Russian artist Andrei Kozlov, civil rights lawyer Leo Terrell and UCLA professor Dr. Jewish Pearl are among the speakers present.

The Temple of Art, co-founded by Rabbie Baron, was created to provide a deep Jewish experience and incorporate cultural heritage. Rabbi Baron leads services at Cantor Nathan Lam and Cantor Ilysia Pierce.

The service includes special presentations from choirs led by music director Sharon Farber, media personalities, actors, acting teachers and other industry experts.

Guild members may request two tickets per person by contacting Richard at the temple at (323) 658-9100 and providing a copy of the guild card. Members can also email requests to richard@templeofthearts.org using a copy of their guildcard.

The Temple of Art also broadcasts Holy Day services. Information can be found on the temple’s website bhtota.org.

Soho International Film Festival sets “after all” as an opening night movie

The Soho International Film Festival (Siffnyc) opens with the world premiere of “After all,” starring Erika Christensen and Penelope Ann Miller. The 16th edition of the festival will take place at Legal Union Square from October 7th to October 13th.

“Our opening night film is a story that resonates across generations. It sets the tone of human programs individually and universally,” says Sibyl Reymundo-Santiago, Head of Programming and Head of Programming at Siffnyc.

Additional world premieres at this year’s festival include Flower of the Dawn, an animated feature starring Melbrooks and Jane Lynch. Pustonin is a documentary highlighting the world’s “farewell to youth” category, Mika Khan’s “books”, “sanctuaries”, “sanctuaries”, and LGBTQIA+ individuals in the faith system.

The 2025 SoHo International Film Festival is set to showcase over 130 films along with over 115 premieres.

Lynx Capital is a partner with Filmslate’s Chaos Theory, starting with “No Look in.”

Film Financing Company’s Lynx Capital has partnered with Mike Le Han and Brandon Franco production company Chaos Theory to set up a $250 million credit line to lend Chaos’ upcoming film slates over the next five years.

The first film in the partnership is Le Han’s “Don’t Looking Intering,” a psychological horror film starring Rachel Nichols, Britt Robertson, Missi Pyle, Nelson Lee and Bruce Davison. Le Han and Franco are making films, while Misha Henriksen and Greg Weinberg of Lynx Capital are executive producers.

“Don’t Look Intering” is scheduled to begin production in Minnesota this fall, and the teaser poster has already been revealed.

St. Elmofair, a set-set brat pack classic for the 40th anniversary release

To celebrate the 40th anniversary, “St. Elmo’s Fire” will be returning to theaters for just one week starting October 17th with Sony’s 4K restored version.

“The Fire of St. Elmo” follows the story of a group of friends for several years after graduating from Georgetown University. As they begin to face the reality of their careers and relationship commitments, they betray and save each other when they try to find a place in the real world.

“The Fire of St. Elmo” stars Demi Moore, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy and Male Winnham. The film was directed by Joel Schumacher and co-written by Karl Karlander.
