Netflix’s Chief Product Officer Eunice Kim leaves the streaming giant.
The reason behind Kim’s exit almost five years later on Netflix wasn’t immediately clear. Netflix’s chief technology officer, Elizabeth Stone, will take over Kim’s duties until a replacement is found, the company said.
Kim joined Netflix in January 2021 to lead the Consumer Product Innovation Team before being named Chief Product Officer in October 2023. Before Netflix, she spent 10 years in product leadership roles on Google Play and YouTube, where she was the director of product management. Early in her career, she worked for companies such as PepsiCo and Adobe Systems.
Among other initiatives, Kim oversaw a major redesign of Netflix’s Connected-TV interface, which debuted in May 2025.
In a statement, Greg Peters, co-CEO of Netflix, who previously served as the company’s chief product officer, said: “We are extremely grateful for Eunice’s leadership and partnership during a crucial time for our business. Over the past five years, Eunice has made many important contributions to Netflix. Success.”
In a statement provided by Netflix, Kim said: “We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented team at Netflix. Over the past five years, we have successfully launched and scaled many major growth initiatives, including advertising plans, to grow our business to over 200 million to 300 million members. We look forward to seeing what the company has next.”
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth Business School. She works on the board of directors of Cure CMD, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to research therapies of congenital muscular dystrophy and improve the lives of people living with CMD.
Kim’s exit from Netflix was previously reported by Bloomberg.
