Londoners can quickly go to Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein” world.
A new exhibition focusing on Netflix adaptation of Mexican Oater’s upcoming Netflix Mary Shelley’s iconic novel Frankenstein: Craft Atelle Eternal will be coming to the old Selfridge Hotel from October 17th to November 9th.
According to a press release, the exhibition “celebrates Del Toro’s visionary storytelling and the extraordinary craftsmanship of his team. A deep dive into his elaborate filmmaking process, it presents a striking collection of props, artwork, outfits and Tiffany & Co. jewelry featured in the film.
“Frankenstein: Crafting a Tale Eternal” will be released for free by Netflix in partnership with LFF by BFI London Film Festival’s free event program. Deltoro’s “Frankenstein” premieres on October 17th, and premieres in select cinemas in Ireland on October 17th, and will be screened at the BFI London Film Festival before its release on Netflix globally on November 7th.
“This film concludes the journey for me that began at age 7 when I first saw James Whale’s Frankenstein film. Gothic horror has become my church and Boris Karov My Messiah has become a statement,” Del Toro said in the statement. “It’s an honor to invite people to come to my incredible craft team and how I brought the world of Mary Shelley to life on screen.”
Free tickets to the exhibition can be reserved on the Selfridges website from BST on Fridays at 8am.
