Wavelength hired producer Stacey Reiss as the film’s new head, Scripted and Unscripted.
The company’s credits include “On Swift Horses,” a character from Daniel Minahan’s story. It features Daisy Edgar Jones and Jacob Elordi, Alex Braverman’s Venice Award-winning documentary “Thank you” and Andy Kaufman, as well as the newly opened “Burlesque the Musical” by Christona Aguilera and Cia.
In her new role, Reiss will work closely with the company’s CEO and founder Jenifer Westphal and president Joe Plummer to oversee the company’s development and production teams while expanding the wavelength films, episode series and shorts.
An Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Reiss works in both scriptwriting and documentary storytelling. Most recently she was executive producer of the entertainment team at Radical Media, the company behind Summer of Soul and Fog of War. Her recent credits include Netflix’s “The Seat” following Mercedes’ rookie Formula 1 drivers. Directed by Justin Simien, “Hollywood Black” won an Independent Spirit Award and was nominated for two Emmy Awards. Future documentary on musician Noah Kahan.
Reiss’ work includes “The Andy Warhol Diaries,” which premiered at Sundance and was nominated for Netflix’s Emmy Awards, “The Perfection,” and “Spaceship Earth,” which was neon-built by “The Perfection,” featuring Alsison Williams and Logan Browning, and HBO’s “The Tokyo Project,” starring Elizabeth Moss and Ebon Moss-Bach-Bhachrach. She also produced “Eagle Huntress”, including the films “Santa Camp”, “It’s a Hard Truth”, “Not Ein, Suitable”, “Diplomatic”, “It’s Me, Hillary”, “I knew I was you.”
Reiss’ films have been shown on Sundance, Telluride, Toronto, Tribeca, SXSW, IDFA and more. She previously spent over a decade as an Emmy Award-winning producer for “Dateline NBC” and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Reiss is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Producer Guild, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She also chairs Reboot, a Jewish arts and culture nonprofit, and is on the advisory board of Reboot Studios.

Wavelength’s portfolio includes Sam Green’s “32 Sounds,” Frank Marshall’s “Another,” and King Namph and Zhang’s “One Child Nation.” The story credits include “Farewell Amor” by Ekwa Msangi. Broadway productions include “The Outsiders” who beat Tony and Tony’s candidates “The Who’s Tommy” and “Here Lies Love.”
