Critics have called out Katherine Zeta Jones for the “creepy” comments she made about fans before the age of one.
When she appeared on “Late Night Seth Myers” last Friday, the 55-year-old “Mask of Zoro” actress spoke about how her role as Morticia Addams on Netflix’s hit show “Wednesday” has earned a “new generation of fans.”
“What’s really great about what’s going on with this is that I have this like a new generation of fans,” she told host Seth Myers.
“The other day I was hitting a golf ball with Michael (Douglas) in the driving range. I was practicing. This really cute 12-year-old boy came in and asked for my autograph,” explained Zeta Jones.
“He’s really cute. And I went, when I was 70, this cute boy will be 33.”
Myers then asked the “Chicago” star if her 80-year-old husband Douglas could tell when she was doing math in her head.
“Yeah, he usually thinks I’m going to choose a club, but I’m not. I’m not going.
Zeta Jones appeared to defend her thoughts on minors, saying that the “basic instinct” actor is “25 years older” than her.
“That’s true. So, will you get one of them too?” Myers said, she replied, “Yeah, thank you.”
Zeta Jones’ comments were filled with backlash from fans who she felt was “inappropriate” to discuss such a young boy.
“I know that she’s married to a much older man, but when she made that decision, she was one adult. It’s not acceptable to think and talk about literal children in this way. I think this is a cute story to share with the world.
“It’s creepy. Someone who has these thoughts when interacting with a 12-year-old,” added another.
“It reminds me that women can also become pedophiles. “Normal” people don’t think so. “The third insisted.
“The fact that this was said in 2025 – there are no excuses. It’s not that there are excuses, but at least the old videos wouldn’t have shocked it,” the fourth netizen commented.
The fifth fan said that if a male actor made those comments about a young girl, he was “listed in black.”

The “Confinement” actress met Douglas in 1998 when she was in her late 20s at the Deauville Film Festival.
The following year, the pair got engaged and tied the knot in November 2000.
“Traffic” co-stars share their son Dylan, 25, and daughter Carries, 22, with Zetta Jones. Douglas is also the father of his 46-year-old son Cameron, who shares with his ex-wife, Diandra Rooker.
