Aubrey Plaza is selling its Los Angeles home for $6.5 million, eight months after the death of her husband Jeff Bena.
The Spanish-style home boasts four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, was quietly put to the market last week.
The house has been “meticulously restored and refined with elegance,” according to the list.
The mansion includes a screening room, a wine cellar, a pool and a large steam room.
The listing explanation continued. “This is more than a home… it’s a private sanctuary, brought to life with care, style and enduring character. It’s an unusual opportunity for those seeking space, isolation and authentic Spanish charm.”
Plaza, 41, and Baena purchased Los Feliz Home in October 2022 for $4.7 million.
According to Realtor.com, which first reported the sale, the former purchased the house through a trust managed by an accounting firm in the same office as Plaza’s production company, Evil Hag Productions.
Plaza representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Page 6.
It was found that Bena died at the age of 47 on January 3, within the property she shared with the Plaza. His cause of death was determined to be suicide.
At the time, the Plaza lived in New York City. It moved there in September 2024 amid a separation.
The “White Lotus” star, in a six-page statement, calls it “an unimaginable tragedy.”
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who provides support. Please respect your privacy at this point,” Plaza said with Baena’s family.
She later opened her friend Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast in August about “Daily Struggle” dealing with Baena’s passing.
“Overall, I’m here and it’s working,” Plaza said.
She compared her experience of mourning with the “cany” film because she realized that her sadness “always felt like there was a huge, terrifying ocean just there, and I felt like I could see it.”
“Sometimes I just want to jump into it and be there, and sometimes I see it, sometimes I try to get away from it, but it’s always there.”
