The 21st Zurich Film Festival honors US director and screenwriter Noah Bambach and pays tribute to the award for his work. Baumbach has been nominated for four Academy Awards. In 2006 he was nominated for the original script for “Squid and the Whale.” In 2020, “Marriage Story” received six nominations, including Best Picture by Baumbach and David Heyman, and original scripts by Baumbach. In 2024, Baumbach was nominated for an adapted script for “Barbie,” shared with Greta Gerwig.
