Dennis Richards first appeared in court amid a turbulent divorce from Aaron Phippers.
On Monday, September 8th, Richards’s detention order request hearing was postponed until next month, according to court documents obtained by people.
In the meantime, the judge had accessed Richards on September 13th to one of the couple’s residences and “recovered his personal property, including his mother and dog,” while the Phippers were ordered to stay 100 yards from the home, as stated in the temporary restraining order granted in July.
Filing also states that Fiper “does not take any action that would interfere with Richards’ access.”
Phypers was also ordered to return Richards’ laptop and old phone. She claimed that by the end of September 9th, she had stolen from her after violating the restraining order.
The delay in the hearing comes after the Phippers first demanded that they push it back, but Richards’ attorneys argued that “to continue further harms Dennis’s prejudice and causes further pain for Dennis by not allowing her finality to her request for a domestic violence control order.”

The update has been more than two months since Fipers filed for divorce from the actress on July 7th.
He listed their separation date on July 4th and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, according to documents obtained by people. Since submitting, the pair have filed countless claims with each other.
A few days after the filing, Richards accused Fipers, whom he married in 2018 of domestic violence and said he “also abused” her through the relationship, and then she was given a temporary restraining order against him.
He denied the allegations of physical abuse in previous statements to previous people as “completely false and deeply hurt.”
In July, Richards accused her ex of violating a temporary restraining order against him, demanding that the Phippers return her laptop and prohibit the information contained within it.
Phypers told people at the time, “Nothing was stolen, nothing missing, except perhaps Ms. Richards’ moral compass.”
Phypers also made several claims against Richards during his divorce.
Phypers accused Richards of cheating on him with another man at the beginning of the year, and in addition to her smacking him, scratching him and smashing his phone, he accused him of another man.
He also claimed that the reality star relied on Bikodin in a letter to friends and family obtained on page 6, and that Richards needed “intervention.”
“Some people know this has been a problem for over 20 years. She’s no longer eating a real diet. I’ve seen a pass-out from the substance. I put myself and others at risk while driving with my daughter,” he said.

In a statement to people, Richards’ divorce attorney Brett Berman denied the allegations and accused the actress of abusing and harassing her.
“In addition to the repeated abuses Mr. Phypers committed against Mr. Richards throughout the party’s marriage, Mr. Phypers has continued to harass Richards since he relied on him since spreading personal information that stole personal information from Mr. Richards’ phones and laptops,” the statement read in part. “These actions continue to hamper Richards’ peace.”
Phypers rebutted the claims made by Richards’ attorneys in response to allegations obtained by people.
Unfortunately, “Dennis appears to be experiencing another of her now-unheld “upside-down jacket” moments. And her high-paid handler appears to be determined to stand upright and spin regardless of cost or collateral damage.” “We really want her to receive the help and support she clearly needs. As Dennis herself once became famous, she once bumped into fewer moments, and now it echoes ironically – “Stop it. I know what you’re doing.”
On August 3, the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Division responded to the Home Fip after Richards appeared on the property despite a temporary restraining order against the Fip, and his family lives there.
Authorities determined that Richards’s appearance on the property “was no evidence that the crime had occurred.” Richards’ attorney Brett Berman also told people that he “did not violate” the temporary restraining order.
“On August 3, 2025, after confirming that Phypers was not at home, Richards entered the house to retrieve the dog after learning that Phypers had placed one of her other dogs without her knowledge or permission,” Berman said.
However, Phypers denied Berman’s claims in a statement to people, saying, “Dennis’ lawyers are consistently pursuing the truth. There is a difference between telling the truth and trying to protect his client.”
On August 20, the actress requested that the court and his family order her Calabasas property be vacated. He currently lives with his parents and siblings, so she can retrieve her dog and belongings without violating the temporary restraining orders they have.

Sources close to the Phippers also told people that Richards was said to be screaming and slamming the door, and the Phippers left another exit when they heard her.
In a statement to People, Phypers alleged that the actress had no relationship or involvement with the life of her pet. He argued that “Dennis has not interacted with animals in two years and does not want knowledge or grant permission for any type of care for the animals.”
According to the filing, the landlord told Richards that he had made several attempts to contact Fipaiser for the rent he had not been paid, but was unable to reach him, resulting in eviction.

“I left many of my personal items and my late mother’s items in the house, and based on Aaron, he said his family would return to Canada and (property) back,” she argued in a complaint. “If I can’t have a dog or anything I have, I think my dog will be harmed and my property will be destroyed or destroyed during the eviction process.”
The real housewife of a Beverly Hills alumni allegedly left him “in a state of confusion” with “aaron and his parents and siblings being severely damaged.”
In response to Richards’ allegations, a source close to the Phippers said the submission was an attempt to “distract her from adulterous events.”
“We thought all these shenanigans had been dropped from the court,” the source continued. “We also don’t see any emergency as guaranteed by the current lawsuit. Dennis’ direct interest in entering the residence where Aaron lives is not only questionable, but manipulative.”
Last week, Richards asked the 52-year-old Phypers to pay her spouse’s support, and the court asked that the ability to award his support in Phypers’ response to his July divorce petition.
She also requested that Fipers be held liable for attorneys’ fees, saying that at this time the “complete nature and scope” of independent property assets and liabilities is as well as their community assets.
Richards listed the date of the separation as “TBD,” but Phypers previously said it was July 4th.
In a statement to People, Phypers responded to Richards’ new demands, saying, “Dennis Richards is trying to humiliate me again, just like her first ex, Charlie Sheen, six years ago!”
“It’s the same Vengeance Playbook that Charlie said. “D and her legal group deal with fiction only. My day in court has been postponed. She acts like a coward and the truth wins,” he said. Our family was ruined by Dennis’ lies that promise to end the year-long event. ”
