Netflix has set up a two-week theatre window for the highly anticipated ensemble sequel, “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.”

“Wake Up Dead Man” will be released in hand-picked theatres on March 26 for a two-week run until it will be on Netflix on December 12th.

The third “Knife Out” entry, directed, written and co-produced by Leanne Johnson, boasts an all-star cast of Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mira Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kelly Washington, Andrew Scott, Kayley Scott and Dareel McCormack Hannen Church.

The official film outline reads: “Benoit Blanc (Craig) returns to his most dangerous case, but in the third and dark chapter of Leanne Johnson’s murder mystery Opus, it includes everything when the young priest Judd Duprentie (O’Connor) is sent to support the charismatic fire brand Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Brolin), Martha Delackrore (Crowse) of the Church of Dev, and Samson Holt (Crowse) of worshippers (Caude) The obvious suspects of Hayden Church), close-up lawyer Bella Doraven (Washington), ambitious politician Sai Doraven (McCormack), town’s Dr. Nat Sharp (Renner), bestselling author Lee Ross (Scott), and suspect Simoonon Simoonon, are urged by local police chief Geraldine Scott (Kniss) to join forces with famous detective Benoit Blanc to unravel the mystery that denies all logic.”

“Knife Out” will be in cinemas for only 14 days, but Johnson said he’s pushing more to business insiders. After Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos called the traditional cinema model “outdated,” Johnson said he hopes that “Wake Up Dead Man” will be released in as many theaters as possible.

“We drive everything you get in theatre side, because I want as many people as possible to see it in that form,” Johnson said.

While Lionsgate was distributing its first “Knife Out” film in a typical theatrical development, Netflix has obtained its 2019 sequel, “Glass Onion.” The film was performed for a week in just 600 cinemas nationwide, about a month before it streamed through partnerships with theater chains like AMC. Netflix has not yet traded since.
