Mindy Kaling’s upcoming Hulu comedy series, “Not Not for Work,” has discovered five series leads.
Variety includes Ella Hunt (“Saturday Nights”, “Dickinson”), Avantica (“Mean Girls”, “The Sex Life of College Girls”), Will Angus (“Artificial”, “The Real Brothers of the Simi Valley: High School Reunion”), Jack Martin (“Love Rare”, “Rookie”), Nicholas Duvan Is Nicholas Duvan Is Nicholas Duvan Is Nicholas Duvan Is Nicholas Duvan Is Nicholas Duvar Day” Returned to Hulu in February. All five of them are cast as regulars in the series.
The official logline for the series focuses on five tasks that are obsessed with working towards professional success, with personal happiness at Murray Hill, Manhattan’s most attractive neighborhood.
Hunt plays AJ Pascalelli. He is described as “an attractive but intense first year analyst at New York’s most prestigious investment bank.” Avantica plays Abhinaya “Abby” Chilkuri. He is said to be “a fashion-obsessed and well-versed assistant of strict celebrity stylists.”
Angus plays Davis Beau Bradley Barrett III. Martin plays Josh Teitelbaum, who is said to be “smart, idealistic, and sometimes sacred New Yorker (born and raised, he will tell you first). Duvernay plays Kel Washington, who is engaging and somewhat uneasy medical student struggling to promote his exams while planning a big break as an actor.”

Kaling creates “Not suitable for the job” and the executive produces alongside showrunner Charlie Grandi. 3Art Entertainment’s Howard Klein will also be executive produced. The series is produced by Kaling International in collaboration with Kaling Bros. Television, with both Kaling and Grandy doing gross deals.
