Alix Earle has opened up about her recent mental health struggles and how she suffers from panic attacks due to online surveillance.
“I know I haven’t posted anything here for the past few days,” the internet personality shared via a TikTok video on Sunday.
“Honestly, I was taking time for myself and not being online as much because it just wasn’t the best place for me.”
Earl, 25, explained that he “reads comments about himself online all the time” and explained, “When you post yourself online, you’re exposing yourself.”
“But lately, I don’t know, I’ve been feeling more negative,” she admitted.
“If you’re constantly reading what you’re doing, what you look like, who you’re dating, what you’re saying, you’re obviously going to worry about it and overthink it.”
The Dancing with the Stars alum revealed she hit a breaking point while putting on her makeup last week and “broke down in tears.”
“I was on a plane and I had a panic attack,” Earl said. “I’m just struggling a little bit. It’s a happy place for me to be able to come here and talk and share things.”
But lately, she feels like “every time” she posts something, critics try to find problems or “try to understand what[she]is saying.”
“It just turns into something bigger,” the TikToker said. “I’m just trying to share my human experience.”
Ms Earle said there was a “double standard”, explaining that viewers think they can comment “the most disgusting things” on her videos, but if the tables were turned she would be labeled “the biggest bitch of all time”.
Earl spent some quality time with friends in Miami to relax and stopped posting video blogs because he was “overthinking everything[about myself].”
The model clarified that while she loves her job as a content creator, she doesn’t want it to “lead to hating” herself.
“I’ve actually recorded videos like this a few times, and the other times I was crying while recording and it just made me want to pick myself up a little bit more,” she added, revealing that she was starting to feel better.
Several fans sent heartwarming support to Earl, with one commenting, “Take care of your busy queen.”
“That’s jealousy! You’re my queen,” added another, while a third chimed in: “People throw stones at shiny things 💎.”
Earl is often open and vulnerable with viewers about his life, including his breakup with Braxton Berrios in December 2025, but he avoids mentioning his name.
Earl also subtly addressed his feud with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper after he demanded that they air their opinions instead of continuing to “passive-aggressively repost and like.”
The two previously worked together at Cooper’s media company, Unwell Network. But last year, the company removed Earle’s podcast, Hot Mess, which sparked rumors.
