Usher quickly stopped giving fans a sexy serenade on stage after becoming visibly uncomfortable.
In a viral moment during Usher’s performance in Nashville on his R&B tour with Chris Brown on Saturday, a woman from the audience was pulled onto the stage as a select fan sang Usher. But when a shirtless Usher began singing to her, she looked extremely uncomfortable as he continued to try to interact by lightly touching her chin and face.
But when he tried to make her lie down on a bed on stage and she stiffened and backed away, the 47-year-old singer pulled away.
“Maybe she doesn’t want to be on stage?” he asked the audience, perplexed.
Eventually, some fans started booing, and the singer completely distanced himself from her, waving his hands back toward the stage as a signal for the fans to get off, looking irritated.
The fan later responded to a comment on social media saying he should never have agreed to go on stage if he didn’t want to, and clapped back at the criticism he received.
“First of all, no one refuses to go on stage,” she wrote. “I looked so good, I don’t think you meant to show me to thousands of people?”
She revealed that she and her mother had floor seats for the show, and that they were elevated to the VIP section before the concert began, a “quite a privilege.”
“They don’t say who they’re going there for!” she wrote. “You guys thought I wanted to go in there and punch him?”
On Sunday, she posted a selfie and sharply captioned the post, “I don’t care 😘.”
However, she continued to defend herself on her Instagram Stories, insisting that her behavior was not “offensive.”
“You’re not going to go on the internet and call me names and disrespect me and expect me to stay calm!” she added. “Don’t think you guys are trying to bully me about the experience you guys didn’t get!”
Usher is known for his spicy concert interactions with fans. In 2024, the singer’s bodyguard hilariously went viral on the internet for making a disgusted face during a scene in which he seduced a member of the audience to eat a cherry during the singer’s show on the Past, Present, and Future tour.
Usher co-headliner Chris Brown also made headlines in September 2025, but for a very different reaction: pulling a fan on stage — and that fan was Travis Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole.
Brown, 37, gave Nicole, 34, a sensual lap dance while singing her 2007 hit ‘Take You Down’ during her Los Angeles stop on the singer’s Breezy Bowl XX tour, which received mixed reactions online. While some fans thought the two went too far, others praised Nicole for seizing the moment.
