Paige Lorenze had a surprising run-in with a local Nantucket business over a “No Influencers” sign.
The socialite influencer, who is married to tennis star Tommy Paul, left a glowing comment on Four Winds Craft Guild’s Instagram post, in which they proudly displayed a sign reading “No Influencers Allowed” inside the store.
Four Winds Craft Guild (founded in 1948) sells handmade baskets, handbags, and local art and sculptures, according to its website.
“If you call yourself a feminist and proudly hold up a ‘no influencer’ sign, it’s worth asking who you’re trying to delegitimize and why…” Lorentze said in a statement.
“Mocking women in power in new industries is nothing new. It’s just a strange message coming from a store that celebrates crafts with a rich history of women shaping the island and its economy,” she continued.
Lorentze, who is a content creator himself, continued that influencers can have a positive impact on business.
“For those who don’t know, the creator economy is overwhelmingly driven by women,” she wrote. “Brands have dedicated billions of dollars to creator marketing because they consistently deliver what traditional advertising cannot: trust, community, and measurable sales.”
“One woman with a devoted audience can succeed in launching a business on a scale that would once have required corporate backing and a huge advertising budget. That’s a win. This sign is not.” she concluded.
The post has since been deleted, but the Four Winds Craft Guild applauded it on its Instagram Story on Saturday. They shared an image stating that their Instagram page had been reported.
“Imagine being fed up with life and trying to report a photo on IG that is distracting and makes you feel uncomfortable,” the peer wrote.
They then reshared an image of a “No Influencers” sign.
Lorenze, 28, launched his own lifestyle brand “Daily Boy” in 2021. She started dating Paul, 29, in 2022, and they married earlier this month at Old Westbury Gardens in Nassau County, New York. It’s on the same property that was the inspiration for Daisy Buchanan’s house in Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
She spoke to Page Six Style in September 2025 about how she has evolved as she has gotten older.
“As I get older, I feel like everything in my life has gotten better, including my style,” she said. “As I’ve grown as a person, so has my brand.”
She also named Hailey Bieber as an influencer she admires.
“I think there’s a difference between[being]a celebrity and having influence, and I think that’s why I respect Hailey,” she explained. “It’s really amazing to see how much of an impact women with vision can have.”
