A month after her split from longtime boyfriend Johnny McDade was announced, newly single Courteney Cox is leaning on her friends.
The “Friends” actress was photographed leaving dinner with friend Jeff Stults at Nobu in Malibu, Calif., on Thursday night.
After chatting outside the popular celebrity hotspot, Cox and the “7th Heaven” actor said goodbye in a valet parking lot and went their separate ways.
Cox was wearing a light black blouse and jeans, and Stults was walking next to her wearing a gray T-shirt, black pants and a black baseball cap.
It appears the dinner was just a friendly outing, as the Little Fires Everywhere actor is dating interior designer Alana Marie, with whom he also has children.
Stults’ friendship with the “Scream” actress goes back a long way.
In 2016, they both attended a benefit dinner hosted by Jennifer Aniston to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital, according to Just Jared.
The friendly sighting came just a month after Cox reportedly called it quits with McDade after 10 years of dating.
Sources close to the star told the Daily Mail at the time that the breakup was not “ugly” and happened because the two had “separate lives”.
“Johnny thinks incredibly highly of Kourtney. They have a very deep relationship and remain very friendly. They are great friends and care about each other very much,” the source said.
Cox and the Snow Patrol musicians first met at a house party hosted by the latter in 2013. They got engaged the following year, but in late 2015 Page Six confirmed they had called off their engagement.
They reconciled in 2016, and the “Cougar Town” actress said she wanted to have children through her relationship with McDade.
“So I can carry other people’s eggs,” she told NewBeauty in 2017. “I might be one of the older guys doing it, but I’d love to do it with Johnny.”
