Jason Kelsey said his brother Travis Kelsey “went great” as he performed the song at his MSG wedding to Taylor Swift.
“Trav can sing,” the former NFL star, 38, revealed when discussing his marriage to Ross Tucker on Tuesday’s new episode of “The Ross Tucker Football Podcast.”
“Trav was always able to carry the song. Obviously it pales in comparison to some of the other guys who were singing that night, but he was OK with it. Trav is very good.”
In the episode, Jason talked about how growing up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, helped him and Travis, 36, develop their artistic talents.
“I think a lot of the fact that we do a little bit of everything really comes from where we grew up in Cleveland,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center said.
“We grew up in a town called Cleveland Heights. It’s a very liberal arts town. It’s very interesting, economically diverse, demographically diverse. A lot of people have settled there, ex-hippies and all. There’s always been a thriving music scene there. It’s a very interesting town.”
“When you’re in middle school, you’re either singing or doing music with instruments. I mean, it’s very artistic,” Jason further explained.
“I really think it’s a wonderful field where you can be exposed to a variety of things, including art, athletics, and academics.”
As Page Six previously reported, Travis and Swift’s big wedding at Madison Square Garden was attended by many important people in the music industry, including performers like Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw.
When asked about their wedding, fellow NFL player Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristin Juszczyk described the night as “legendary.”
“It was the best night ever,” Kristin told Page Six. “It was legendary. There’s no other way to describe it.”
Kyle agreed, chiming in: “Yeah, it’s really, really legendary.”
Jason’s wife Kylie Kelce also shared her thoughts on the wedding in an interview with People magazine at the American Century Championship golf tournament, calling the night “incredible.”
Jason and Kylie’s four daughters, Wyatt, 6, Elliott, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finley, 1, also played a special role in the wedding, the “New Heights” co-host confirmed in an interview with the Reno Gazette Journal.
“It was a special event for our entire family, and obviously my daughters are amazing,” Jason shared, referring to his daughters’ role as flower girls at the wedding.
“They’re beautiful and have great personalities, and Travis and Taylor love them too. So I’m so happy to be a part of this. And more importantly, I’m so happy for them. It was a great day.”
