Matty Healy and Gabrielette Bechtel are married.
The 1975 frontman, 37, and the model, 28, tied the knot on Saturday in a star-studded ceremony at Madonna’s former mansion, Castillo del Lago, in Los Angeles.
Healy wore a black tuxedo and Bechtel stunned in a white wedding dress for the ceremony, which was held at a Spanish Colonial Revival mansion in the Hollywood Hills, according to photos obtained by Page Six.
Guests included Charlie XX and her husband George Daniel (Healy’s bandmate in The 1975), as well as Anastasia Karanikolaou, Fai Khadra, Alex Consani, Devon Lee Carlson and her fiancé Duke Nicholson, Sidney Lynn Carlson, Tyrell Hampton, Alex O’Connor and Quenlyn Blackwell.
Prior to marrying the model, Healy performed at a bachelor party with a tribute band dedicated to his band.
Footage circulating on social media showed the singer performing with the 9075 at a bachelorette party in Malibu. In one clip, Healy performed “The Sound” with a tribute band.
Last month, Bechtel kicked off her bachelorette party wearing a chic vintage Chanel ensemble while boarding a plane to Las Vegas.
Healy and Bechtel began dating in September 2023, and Healy’s mother, Denise Welch, confirmed their engagement in June of the following year, saying at the time that she “couldn’t be happier” for them.
News of their marriage comes shortly after Healy’s ex Taylor Swift married Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on July 3.
The couple exchanged vows in front of a star-studded audience at a multi-million dollar extravaganza at Madison Square Garden.
It’s worth noting that Liam Hemsworth attended the high-profile wedding in New York City to Gabriella Brooks, Healy’s ex-girlfriend and now the “Hunger Games” star’s fiancée.
Swift and Healy dated for several weeks after she split from actor Joe Alwyn in April 2023.
A source told The Sun in May 2023 that the pair were in the “very early stages” of dating but were already “insanely in love” with each other.
“Both Matty and Taylor have been on tour in recent weeks, so there’s been a lot of FaceTiming and texting, but she can’t wait to see him again,” the source claims, adding that Healy is hoping to join the Cruel Summer hitmaker’s Elas Tour in Nashville.
They also added, “Rather than hiding this romance, we want to keep it our own.”
The two were spotted wearing each other’s goods in 2014, sparking suspicions that they were dating.
Healy revealed at the time that the pair had “exchanged phone numbers”, but claimed in an interview on Australia’s 2DayFM show Shazam Top 20 with Angus and Ash that their brief romance was “all fake” and a “farce”.
“We met each other, we exchanged numbers the same way a lot of people in this kind of world do, we talked from time to time, and she’s the greatest pop star in the world,” he said in a January 2015 interview.
“I’m in Australia and there’s no relationship, nothing going on. It’s funny how people really, really believe that.”
A month after their brief relationship was reported, TMZ reported that they had already broken up.
Swift and Kelsey then announced their relationship in September 2023, and got engaged in August 2025 after dating for two years.
