love is in the air
Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez were photographed taking a romantic stroll through New York City’s Central Park on Thursday.
The newly reunited couple walked arm in arm as they made their way through the iconic urban oasis, as confirmed in photos obtained by TMZ.
Both were dressed casually, with the pop star wearing an all-black ensemble with a nude-colored headband and her hair in a messy bun. But Alvarez livened up the mood with camo pants, a black sleeveless T-shirt, and a blue New York Knicks hat.
The duo was also joined by a puppy who bears a striking resemblance to the “Side to Side” singer’s beloved dog Toulouse.
During the park adventure, Grande’s arm was wrapped around Alvarez’s waist, while the former backup dancer’s arm was draped over her shoulder.
As Page Six previously reported, the ex-lovers recently decided to give romance another try.
“Ariana has rekindled her relationship with Ricky, but she’s in no rush to get back into it,” the source said. “She has a lot to do right now and is still incredibly busy with her touring schedule, so they’re just taking things one step at a time.”
“Ricky has remained close with Ariana’s family over the years, and that’s something she truly appreciates,” the source continued. “He also makes an effort to show up and support her when she’s on tour, which has been noticed.”
Our source added that they are “enjoying spending time together again and seeing how things go without putting too much pressure on their relationship.”
Grande’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment at the time.
Grande, 33, and Alvarez, 35, were first rumored to be dating in late June when they were spotted hanging out with a group of friends at a restaurant in Austin, Texas, for the Grammy winner’s birthday.
They were later photographed at a Whole Foods grocery store over the Fourth of July weekend in Grande’s hometown of Boca Raton, Florida.
At a recent stop on her “Eternal Sunshine” tour in New York City, Grande fired up her fan base with a sharp change to the lyrics of her hit song “Thank U Next.”
The 2018 song, in which she names several of her ex-boyfriends, originally featured lyrics about Alvarez: “I wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh.”
But during a July 13 show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, she sang, “I wrote some songs about Ricky/We always find our way back,” which went viral on social media.
The “Wicked” actress and Alvarez dated briefly from 2015 to 2016, but met when Alvarez was a backup dancer on Grande’s honeymoon tour.
The couple’s second chance came shortly after Grande split from Ethan Slater after three years of dating.
