Katie Holmes may have found romance again, but she and new boyfriend Jason Byrd Yarmosky are in no hurry to take the next step.
“Katie and Jason’s relationship is still in its infancy and is being deliberately slow. They haven’t been introduced to anyone else’s family or anything like that yet,” a source exclusively told Page Six, explaining why the “Dawson’s Creek” alum’s new beau has yet to meet her daughter Suri Cruise, 20.
“For now, they are just enjoying spending time together,” the source said. There hasn’t been much progress in their relationship yet and they are still in the dating stage for now. They accept things as they are and are happy to see how it turns out. ”
Romance rumors surrounding Holmes, 47, and Yarmosky intensified this week after Page Six obtained photos of the pair looking smitten during a dinner date in New York City on Tuesday.
The two couldn’t keep their hands apart, linking arms as they strolled through Manhattan.
The outing comes days after an eyewitness told People that the actress and artist were spotted holding hands in the Hamptons after a screening of Olivia Wilde’s new film The Invite and an afterparty at an East Hampton boat house.
“Jason has a calming presence and gives Katie a sense of security and comfort, which is important to her,” the source said. “She’s a fan of his work and really respects what he does as an artist.”
Born in 1987, Yarmosky has had an extensive career as an artist since his youth, with his grandparents Elaine Byrd and Leonard Byrd being the subject of several portraits.
The New York native graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in 2010 and describes his art as sending a message that “humor and imagination persist in the face of loss,” according to his website.
According to a source from Page Six, “Much of Jason’s work is inspired by his grandparents, and there’s a warmth and humor to it that Katie really enjoys.”
Despite the nearly 10-year age difference, the “Batman Begins” star isn’t worried about the age difference at all.
“The fact that Jason is younger than Katie doesn’t bother her at all. She doesn’t care about the age difference and it hasn’t affected their relationship at all,” the source explained.
Representatives for Holmes and Yarmosky did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
According to TMZ, Holmes and Yarmosky first met at a dinner at the Tribeca Festival in New York City in June.
Yarmoski’s relationship history is unknown, but Holmes’ last public relationship was with Bobby Wooten III in 2022.
Before dating the musician, she was romantically linked to restaurateur Emilio Vitolo Jr. in 2020.
The actress and Jamie Foxx, who had been dating since 2013, broke up in 2019, just weeks after they showed off their romance on the Met Gala red carpet.
