Logan Browning had just moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles when he was offered the role of FBI agent Sarah Grier in Harlan Coben’s latest Netflix hit series, “I Will Find You.”
“Everything went well, so maybe there’s something special in the water in Atlanta,” Browning told me on Zoom.
Sarah is more than just an FBI agent. Her partner in the Boston bureau happens to be – get this! – Chee McBride, who plays her father, Max Williams.
The father-daughter FBI team is a perfect example of Corben’s binge-worthy masterful behavior, making viewers believe that the unbelievable is rooted in reality.
“As I was doing all the research, I thought, ‘This is a no-no, this will never happen,'” Browning says with a laugh. “They (the producers) were like, ‘Because of his tenure, they got special privileges.’ So I’m paving the way for a father-daughter FBI team. You’re welcome.”

The eight-episode series follows Sarah and Max as they hunt down fugitive David Burrows (Sam Worthington) in order to prove that he was innocently sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of their young son Matthew. Britt Lower co-stars as David’s former sister-in-law, a journalist who believes David is innocent. Milo Ventimiglia plays Hayden, Rachel’s extremely wealthy ex-boyfriend, and Madeline Stowe plays her seemingly evil mother.
The cat-and-mouse action thriller sees David and Sarah risking their lives by jumping from the roof of one Boston building to another. “Didn’t you know I could jump over buildings?” Browning joked.
In the end, Sarah comes to David’s defense and helps clear his name.
“Sam brought this up when we shot the roof scene, and he said, ‘You need to close your eyes a few times because we’re going to team up right at the end,'” Browning recalled. “For me, there’s a moment where David tries to jump off a building and it almost seems like there’s a moment of compassion between the two of them.”
Although Browning has experience with firearms, she said Worthington has proven to be an invaluable teacher. “Sam’s character doesn’t use guns a lot, but Sam obviously uses them a lot,” says Browning. “There was a scene where Maggie Kiley, one of the directors, wanted me to reload, and Sam showed me how to do it on the spot. And, oh my gosh, he’s so cool. He really knows what he’s doing. It was so cool to see him do it.”
All eight episodes of “I Will Find You” are available on Netflix.
