Madison Square Garden employees have been banned from the arena ahead of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s long-awaited wedding, Page Six has exclusively learned.
“MSG was closed to all company employees this week,” officials told Us on Tuesday, adding that employees “were not given any reason for it being a restricted area.”
Sources said employees are expected to be able to return to work from July 5.
Representatives for MSG, Swift and Kelce did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that staff working in the event production department were not allowed to hold cellphones in their hands, presumably preventing them from taking photos of the setup.
Employees (who are unaware of the details of the event at hand) are also wearing wristbands and have been told they will have to undergo extra security when coming to work.
The store said event staff will be at the building early Friday morning.
As Page Six previously reported, Swift and Kelsea are planning to wed in the coming days at a 20,000-seat arena in New York City.
Sources said a more intimate event will be held on Thursday, with some describing it as a rehearsal dinner for 100 of the couple’s closest family and friends.
The next day, they heard that they were hosting a huge celebration for about 1,000 guests, and that there would be performances by Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw.
Invitees reportedly had to sign nondisclosure agreements before confirming their attendance, with one source previously revealing to us that “everyone was sworn to confidentiality.”
MSG specifically has no events on its calendar from June 29th to July 6th, but with multiple entrances and highly secure infrastructure, the duo can prioritize privacy and safety.
Additionally, City Hall recently confirmed to the Post that a permit application for July 2nd through July 4th has been submitted to the Big Apple Street Permit Office.
The permit, filed by Winnick Productions, a prominent event planning company, called for both road closures around MSG and the installation of large tents and canopies outside the arena.
Vendor trucks use 33rd Street to load and unload merchandise, and Page Six was seen delivering curtains, lights, chairs, tables, and even a “40-inch disco ball” to the property.
It was recently revealed that Los Angeles-based celebrity wedding planner Marc Seed has been working on who will host the extravaganza for “months.”
“He can create something amazing out of nothing,” one source marveled as industry experts explained what it took to transform the famous sports and music venue where Swift has performed so many times into the setting for a romantic wedding.
Notably, members of the pop superstar’s camp have been spotted at Rock Lititz, a Pennsylvania-based production campus where sets for large-scale concerts, including the Elas tour, are being built.
Swift and Kelce, both 36, have invited dozens of A-listers, including several of the former Kansas City Chiefs’ star teammates, many of whom have booked rooms at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square.
The tight end proposed to his girlfriend of two years in his backyard in Missouri in August 2025.
Kelsey also owns a home in Kansas, and the 14-time Grammy winner owns properties in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville and Rhode Island, where it was initially thought the wedding would take place.
