Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former aide to President Melania Trump, is determined not to be defined by her unceremonious exit from the White House.
“Melania was a chapter in my life. It’s not my story,” Wolkoff, a Vogue alumnus who wrote a memoir about their friendship and FLO-TUS feud, told Page Six.
She moved on to her next activity – producing television shows.
Wolkoff recently produced “The Gunslingers,” and her latest project is executive producing “The Trouble with Billy,” a fictional TV show based on and starring 90s heartthrob William McNamara and Billy Baldwin and her brother Randall Butinkoff, who brought her into the project. McNamara lost everything at the height of his fame, mainly due to alcohol and drug abuse.
“I know a thing or two about how to rebuild your life after a bad chapter, and I know that no one should be defined by an instant,” she said.
The fashion insider was a confidant of her husband, Donald Trump, even before he ran for president, and joined Trump as an adviser in the East Wing. But Ms. Wolkoff benefited after it was revealed that her company received about $26 million for helping plan Mr. Donald’s first inauguration. Wolkoff claimed he was a “scapegoat” and personally received only a fraction of that amount.
She’s been touring New York City to spread the word about the show, which will be streamed on Red Coral Universe. She and McNamara were spotted hooking up with Hilaria Baldwin at Elliot Rivera’s salon early last week.
Last Thursday, they hosted a joint party with Noel Ashman at Aquarelle to celebrate his birthday and the show’s premiere.
“I don’t want to be defined by politics or betrayal. I want to spend my time creating stories that remind us to look beyond the headlines, believe in second chances, and never lose sight of the person behind the public image,” she said.
