Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are enjoying a holiday in Europe with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and are reportedly planning a family trip to the UK in July.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are reportedly traveling in Europe with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The trip comes shortly after the couple confirmed they will stop in the UK in July, kicking off events around plans for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to California in 2020, stepping back as working members of the royal family. Along with the change in position, safety measures when visiting Japan have also changed. This is an ongoing issue for Prince Harry, who has made several solo trips to meet King Charles, his brother Prince William, and extended family. However, it will be the first time his wife and children will join him in the UK since 2022, when he celebrated the late Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee.
In early June, Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles had provided the Sussexes with accommodation on the royal grounds during their stay, but the family has not officially confirmed this.
In a statement to the High Court in London, Prince Harry said: “Britain is my home. It is the center of my children’s heritage and a place where I want them to feel as at home as I do now in the US. None of that would be possible without the possibility of keeping my children safe while on British soil.”
He added: “I can’t put my wife at risk like that, and given my life experiences, I don’t feel comfortable putting myself at risk unnecessarily.”
