Out in Hollywood has announced its 2026 Out Loud list, featuring the best queer-focused pilot scripts not produced in the past year.
This year, the sixth time on the list, Out in Hollywood is once again partnering with Gersh. The selected authors will be celebrated at a special reception in Los Angeles hosted by Jeff and Maridette Greenberg and sponsored by Writ Large.
“Distinct voices exploring the queer spectrum have never been more important and deserve to be heard,” said Logan Crete, on behalf of the Out in Hollywood Board of Directors. “These pilots are not just a celebration of who we are, they are a force for change, a call to empathy, and proof that queer stories touch the hearts of all audiences. This year’s Storytellers reflect the full range of the queer imagination and reveal what we’ve always known: When queer writers are given the space to tell their stories freely, they don’t just add to culture, they move it forward.”
Each script was nominated by queer experts in the entertainment community and evaluated through a blind review process led by Outloud Hollywood’s founding committee and a guest panel of queer producers and executives. Submissions will be evaluated based on a variety of criteria, including a quirky storytelling lens based on GLAAD’s Vito-Russo test.
This year’s list covers a wide range of genres, including science fiction, crime, thriller, youth, comedy, and drama.
The complete list can be found below. Arranged alphabetically by pilot title, it also includes a brief summary and presentation information for each script.
