Sean Hannity has revealed that he is undergoing treatment for a pinched nerve after viewers raised concerns and speculation about his health after noticing his “swollen face and hoarse voice” during a recent episode of his Fox News show.
Hannity said the injury happened during “training,” possibly referring to martial arts practice. The conservative anchor has said in the past that he trains four days a week using a combination of Krav Maga, Jiu Jitsu and Kenpo. Hannity said the swelling and voice problems are side effects of the prednisone prescription, but he is feeling well and continues to work.
“Thank you everyone for checking in. I’ve already brought this up a few times on my radio show, but during training I had some pinched nerves in my neck and felt some pain,” he wrote on Wednesday’s X. “The doctor put me on prednisone to reduce the inflammation. It helped, but it caused laryngitis and swelling, which is normal with this drug.”
Hannity said with some sarcasm about the attention he was receiving, “I’m fine, I’m recovering well, I’m still training, but apparently a few weeks of prednisone has gotten me more social media attention than 30 years of ratings success.” I appreciate all the concern and well-wishes, including those in the left-wing media. I’m sorry to have let them down, but the pinched nerves, rattling voice, and swollen face won’t save me any time soon.
Hannity hosts his self-titled Fox News show four times a week and his radio show “The Sean Hannity Show” five times a week.
