Erling Haaland’s Hermès Birkin bag collection may be the biggest draw of the 2026 World Cup.
The Norwegian soccer star jets around the world during the International Series, carrying a number of rare Birkins along the way.
Haaland, who is often photographed by the paparazzi and shares photos on Instagram, doesn’t carry her usual style, but some of the most exclusive oversized styles on the market.
The most expensive item to date is the black Multi-Pocket HAC 50, which previously sold for $69,500.
This is followed by the Evercalf Toile Cargo HAC 40 ($50,000) and the Endless Road 50 ($45,500). Most notably, he brought the latter, a limited-edition style depicting a mountain next to a highway, when he arrived in the United States earlier this month ahead of the World Cup kickoff.
His public Birkin collection includes seven styles with a total value of more than $317,000.
Fans immediately took notice.
One Instagram account asked for their synopsis: “Have you seen Erling Haaland’s custom Birkin? Baby, buckle up.”
Footballers aren’t the only celebrities who are obsessed with this iconic style. Kylie Jenner has a pretty full closet, and she recently took a $63,000 crocodile Birkin 35 in “Knicks Blue” to the NBA Playoffs.
This spring, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir shared that they bought matching white bags in Tokyo during the 2020 Olympics.
And athletes like Stefon Diggs and David Beckham are bringing big-ticket items into the men’s fashion world more than ever before.
If Norway win the trophy, Haaland imagines he might celebrate with another big purchase.
