Carrie Underwood shares patriotic video of raising an American flag near her home in Tennessee

Carrie Underwood is proud to be American.

The 43-year-old country singer recently shared a video on Instagram of him driving past a large fence decorated with American flags that spans his property.

“I can’t believe I get to live here. Thank you Lord. #GodBlessAmerica #Grateful #TN,” she captioned the post.

Fans in the comments section were similarly inspired by the display of patriotism, with one fan saying a similar display at Eric Trump’s Trump Winery in Virginia “really brought tears to my eyes. So patriotic.”

Another fan wrote, “I feel the same way! Thank you Lord for bringing us here,” while a third added: “Beautiful and patriotic! So proud.”

Another fan wrote: “Oh my god. I hope someone who has contributed as much as me sees this post.” “If that flag represents gratitude for freedom, then it will make what I’ve been through feel a little less painful. Thank you, Carrie. Thank you, too, to Mike and the boys.”

In January 2025, Underwood showed off her patriotism by performing “America the Beautiful” in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda during President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

She avoided the awkward moment when the music would cut out before her performance, telling the crowd, “You know the words, help me here,” and singing a cappella.

“I love this country and was honored to be asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said in a statement. “I am humbled to answer this call at a time when we all need to come together in a spirit of unity and look to the future.”

The announcement received mixed reactions, with some, like “The View’s” Joy Behar, criticizing her decision, while others defended it.

In an interview with FOX News Digital at the time, Lee Greenwood defended her, saying, “She’s going to do a great job on Capitol Hill on ‘America the Beautiful.'”

“I’m going to sing it before the president takes the oath,” he added. “Then she’ll sing, and that moment alone will be magical. For those of you who want to say something negative, keep it to yourself. Please don’t attack my friends who are here for the same reason I am. It’s the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States.”

Underwood rose to fame in 2005 as the Season 4 winner of “American Idol.”

Since appearing on the show, the “Jesus Get the Wheels” singer has won eight Grammy Awards and sold more than 22.5 million albums in the U.S. alone.

She then announced her return to the show in a February 2025 Instagram post, letting fans know that she would be replacing Katy Perry as a judge on the show.
