We are very much back to normal.
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively are reportedly rekindling their friendship, which started when Swift offered Lively an “olive branch” in the form of an invitation to her wedding to Travis Kelce.
The former friends “spoke on the phone,” a source told the Daily Mail in a report published Saturday.
“Everyone around Taylor knows there’s a chance Blake will attend. She might not attend, but that’s probably because she doesn’t feel welcome,” the source added.
Another source said: “Blake is looking for a second chance and the two have been having loose conversations to rebuild trust. Now that Taylor is having a change of heart, Blake is slowly coming back into the fold.”
The 38-year-old “A Simple Favor” actress is reportedly likely to attend in a dress of her choice, with a third source claiming that Lively “doesn’t want people to think she’s not going to the wedding” because “image is very important to her.”
Reps for Swift and Lively did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
In May, it was reported that Swift, 36, had initially decided to bar Lively from the upcoming ceremony, citing a friendship rift over the actress’ legal feud on the film It Ends With Us.
But a source said at the time that it was “much more likely” that Lively would receive an invite now that the sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni is over.
Their friendship reached a breaking point after Lively drew Swift into an ugly feud with Baldoni. The actress called the singer one of her “dragons” and asked for his support in changing the script amid tensions during production of the film.
Private texts exposed the extent of the rift between Lively and Swift, and unsealed court documents revealed that the “Gossip Girl” star tried to repair her relationship with the singer.
According to reports, the facts revealed in the court documents were enough to separate another of Swift’s close friends, Miles Teller’s wife, Kelly Teller, from Swift.
A source said Kelly chose to put her relationship with Swift on ice after learning of Lively’s “Dragons” comments.
“Kelly didn’t want to be a part of it,” a source told the Daily Mail at the time, adding, “She couldn’t believe they were talking to each other like that.”
In addition to Lively, the highly anticipated wedding, scheduled to take place on July 3 at New York’s Madison Square Garden, is expected to include Zoe Kravitz, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seehorn, Suki Waterhouse, Benson Boone, the Haim sisters and more.
