Hailee Steinfeld has finally revealed the name of her and husband Josh Allen’s infant daughter, Harper Hayes Allen.
“Dear Harper, I am in awe of you,” Ms. Steinfeld wrote in a Beau Society Substack entry titled “Letter to My Daughter” on Friday.
“Even though you’ve only been here for a short time, it feels like you’ve always been ours.”
The “Sinners” actress, 29, described the past “few months” as “beautiful and exhausting” and “sacred and very special.”
In a lengthy blog entry, the actress wrote, “I’ve learned that motherhood is made up of small, precious moments, not grand moments.”
The “Bumblebee” star continued, “I kept repeating over and over again the weary sway of your hips in the middle of the night, your little milk-drunk smile, and the quiet realization that somehow my heart now lives outside of my body and always will.”
“And Harper Hayes Allen, I know I’m supposed to guide you through this life, but the truth is, you’ve already taught me so much more than I can teach you,” she continued.
“One day you’ll read this and know it’s true, sweetie.”
Harper and Allen tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in California on May 31, 2025. In a December issue of Substack titled “29 Favorite Moments of the Year,” Harper revealed that she is pregnant with her first child.
Steinfeld, wearing a jacket with the word “Mother” written on it, exposed her baby’s growing belly and Allen could be seen kissing it in the video clip.
They pointed to her stomach, then pointed to a small snowman and mentioned that it would arrive soon.
The 30-year-old NFL star and actress gave birth to her first child earlier this year, and Steinfeld once again shared the news on her Substack.
“Our baby is here!! We are incredibly grateful, blessed and savoring these early moments. Thank you so much for all the love and well wishes,” she wrote on April 2, signing the announcement with “Love, Hailey and Josh.”
The actress then took to Instagram to celebrate her first Mother’s Day last month, sharing a snapshot of her toddler’s hand clinging to her finger.
She also uploaded a photo of her child in a polka-dot onesie, but avoided showing Harper’s face.
“I’m a day late but I’m just obsessed with this 💗,” she gushed at the time.
