‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ alum Nene Leakes’ son Bryson Bryant has been arrested for violating his probation.
Bryant has been in jail since May 1, when he was booked into a Georgia jail on suspicion of failing to meet the terms of his probation and failing to pay child support, TMZ reported Friday.
The newspaper said his probation violation dates back to 2023, when he was found in possession of fentanyl.
At the time, Bryant, 36, claimed his name was Brent Leakes, his brother’s name, and officers charged him with false identity.
Bryant’s drug charges were dropped in a plea agreement, but he was still sentenced to 12 months of probation, in addition to paying a $500 fine, completing 40 hours of community service and conducting random drug tests.
However, according to documents obtained by TMZ, Bryant did not meet any terms of his probation.
A representative for NeNe, 58, could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
The reality star previously spoke about her son’s 2023 arrest and candidly admitted that he “needs rehabilitation.”
“He needs a lot of counseling,” she said on a July 2023 episode of the show “Reality with the King.”

“Like many families out there, I have family members who struggle with drugs and certain addictions,” NeNe said.
“He has an addiction. He’s been battling addiction for years. He’s been to rehab several times, but he still keeps coming back and relapsing.”
At the time, the Bravo alum claimed that no one could help her son more than herself, adding, “People who have children or family members who use drugs know they need to be prepared.”
NeNe explained that she had already “spent a lot of money trying to get Bryson to where he needed to be” and realized that nothing would change.
“Because every time I send him out, I say, ‘You’re doing well, so we’re sending you out,'” she continued. “But through my own counseling, I’ve learned that he has to say, ‘I’m ready to go.’ I’m not letting him go. So there’s nothing I can do until Bryson is ready to make a change.”
NeNe shares a son with ex Calvin Bryant.
Meanwhile, Bryson was arrested for drunk driving in 2011 and the following year for driving with a suspended license.
