Guillermo Rodriguez heads to the ballroom!
Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick will be joining Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars,” the late-night talk show host announced Wednesday.
“I have to make a big announcement. I have been authorized and even given representation to reveal the names of the major celebrity contestants who will be competing on next season,” Kimmel, 58, told viewers.
“This is someone you know, someone you love, and someone we know well,” he teased.
After Rodriguez quipped that he “couldn’t wait to find out” who that person was, the curtains opened to reveal him as the contestant in question.
The 55-year-old showed off a glimpse of his dance moves in a blue costume with ruffles on the sleeves as the audience cheered.
“He’ll be the first parking lot security guard in history to dance with the stars,” Kimmel said, noting that he started working at the studio before becoming Rodriguez’s right-hand man.
The Emmy winner then urged Rodriguez to “not lose a single pound of adorable weight.”
Kimmel’s “excited” and “happy” friend responded, “If you lose 5 pounds, I promise you’ll gain 10 pounds right back.”
Rodriguez is the fourth person to be selected for this fall’s DWTS.
‘Summer House’ star Ciara Miller will also be in contention for the Mirror Ball trophy following a shocking romantic betrayal between co-stars West Wilson and Amanda Batula.
“I grew up dancing,” the 30-year-old Bravolebrity told Us Weekly about her “DWTS” gig in April. “I’ve been doing ballet for 10 years. Why not?”
Love Island alum Maura Higgins will also take to the stage.
Additionally, news broke in May that Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson would be participating in the season.
Notably, the baseball player is dating Pat Sajak’s daughter Maggie Sajak.
